A Glorious Comeback (1x! with *Adashi*)

[mandalorian]

Rhys curses up a storm as they're leaving his office, picking up his pace to a practical slow jog. "Do you think it's the coffee shop again?"

[Agent Maine(Meta)]

"No, just finished eating there. Too quick acting. Way to quick." John mumbled.

[mandalorian]

"Maybe you picked up something going through the vacant buildings? Who knows what diseases might be in some of those." Rhys said, slowing down when they get to medical and calling over some staff to help.

[Agent Maine(Meta)]

John mumbles a maybe in response as medical staff come over, immediately questioning what the problem was.

[mandalorian]

"He's going numb." Rhys said, following the staff over to place John in one of the beds.

[Agent Maine(Meta)]

"Has he ingested anything outside of his usual diet?" One nurse asked while another looked john over, remarking slightly puffed up cheeks and a swelled neck, as well as some scuffs to his plating.

[mandalorian]

"No? I don't think so? We just had lunch but it was stuff we've had before so I don't think it really mattered." Rhys said, shifting from foot to foot nervously.

[Agent Maine(Meta)]

"Swollen neck, swollen cheeks. Numbness. Sluggishness. These look like telltale marks of Stalker venom. Of course it reacts much faster in a normal human being. Someone may of injected him with it. Or he could of injested it on accident from prey. Rakk's and skags can break it down in digestion better then a human can." A nurse remarked.

[mandalorian]

"What? Oh my god, John, did you eat a stalker?" Rhys immediately questioned, looking at him and narrowing his eyes.

John just makes an incoherent noise, a cross between some kind of garbled word and a whine, shifting and kicking his feet a bit but unable to really produce much else.

"It could be possible that if he went out to his enclosure and got anything there, that said animal may of recently scavanged stalker meat and thus, caused the poisoning."
