Orchid shook her head as he told her Ned caught him in his suit, that sounded about right for those two. However, when he confessed his feelings for her,her mouth formed an 'o' shape,as if a whole lot of things just hit her. Ned's insistence she spend time alone with Peter, the soft glances the boy would give her on very rare occasions, among other things. He had liked her, as more than a friend, all this time and she had been painfully oblivious. Perhaps if she had known,if he had told her, given bigger hints to help the oblivious girl out, things would be different. Maybe she would have learned his identity earlier on,or maybe not at all. She probably wouldn't be sitting in Stark Tower,with Tony Stark himself in the other room. The fact that her best friend had a crush on her wouldn't have been too shocking if she had just paid a bit more attention to him and his actions. She wanted to cringe at her own stupidity. All that time she was going on about Spider-man,she was going on about him, about Peter Parker, and he just sat there and listened,pretending he had no idea who the man behind the mask was,and that she actually might have a chance with him. Orchid bit her bottom lip,avoiding his gaze for a quite some time. When she did look back up,there was a determined look on her face."I can't believe you have feelings for me and you didn't say anything! You're such a jerk, Peter, letting me go around talking about Spider-man, who is you, to you, and you didn't say a word. You're an idiot!" She gently slapped his arm,shaking her head."If you had just said something to me, we wouldn't be here right now." She began to giggle,pointing her finger at him,she feigned a serious look."I'm making the final decision here,unless you're opposed, but I think it's time we actually start dating, though I do expect you to ask me out properly,mister." she teased,booping his nose,cause that's cute

Tony chuckled at her teasing,reaching his hand out to hers,he intertwined their fingers."I've got business meetings and press conferences all day until Friday,but I should be free in the evenings. And who says my lawyer can't attend those meetings and conferences? Though,if you're not okay with our relationship going public just yet, we can always go out in the evenings."He mused,tossing the word relationship in there so casually,even though he was nervous as hell using it. What if now wasn't the right time? He was a mess on the inside,but on the outside, Tony seemed as suave as ever,a playful smile upon his face,his eyes dancing with love for the woman sitting across from him. Honestly,they could have been together for years with how he looked at her. The man leaned back in his chair,giving her hand a light squeeze."I do have to finish up the new suits,and fix Peter's,so that might pose a problem unless you don't mind sitting down in my work shop while I work on them. I know it's not fun,but I'd love for you to see me in action,you might just find me more attractive than you already do."He winked at her,a his smile forming into a mischievous grin.He was quite the charmer,and he knew it. Tony could honestly get any woman he wanted,but he didn't want just any woman. He wanted Avery, wanted to be with her, wanted to hold her when she was upset,talk to her when she was frustrated,he wanted to be there for her for every situation. If he was being honest with himself, he wanted to just propose on the spot,but that was taking things a bit too far. He couldn't do that, it was too soon,and scaring her off was not an option

Peter didn’t look up at her for the longest time, he couldn’t. It was nerve wracking, and she was so silent that he worried she was upset. Like, actually upset. What if he had just ruined their relationship? He couldn’t lose her. He couldn’t. As soon as he managed to peel his eyeballs off of his hands and up at her, their gazes met before she started speaking. The look in her eyes partially startled him, wondering what she was about to say. “Well, maybe if you had paid attention, you would have known.” he responded teasingly, trying to keep from smiling, but he couldn’t. He finally cracked a smile when he touched his nose, crinkling it playfully. He couldn’t believe the words that she had said, couldn’t believe that a girl as gorgeous as her actually wanted him. He took one of her hands “Orchid. Do you want to be mine and Spider-Man’s girlfriend?” he asked, though he was being serious, he had to throw humor into it. It was his duty as Peter Parker to throw the humor in. He cracked a smile as he looked into her beautiful eyes, threatening to get lost in them. He couldn’t help but feel so happy that this whole evening had happened.

Avery smiled lightly and held his hand back, taking a sip of her wine as he spoke. She glanced down at the table as she thought for a moment before looking back up at him. Did she want to hide it or make it public? Making it public seemed so much easier than sneaking around. “I don’t want to hide it, Tony..” she murmured, hoping he hadn’t either. She wanted to be in a relationship, with him. In a relationship. It’s been a long time since she had even thought those words. She smiled again as he squeezed her hand, taking yet another sip of her wine, savoring it before swallowing. She laughed softly at his joke and nodded “I’d love to watch you work. Just gives me an excuse to see you longer.” she replied. Even though he was joking, it was true, watching him work was attractive. Well, so was everything that he did. Basically everything. She watched him quietly, not saying anything, though her gaze was soft.

She huffed,shaking her head."You know I'm oblivious when it comes to other people trying to flirt with me or whatever. We've been over this several times." she ststed,puffing her cheeks out. Her little act didn't last too long though,
As Peter began to speak again. She giggled as he took her hand,a blush forming on her freckled cheeks. She couldn't believe this was happening. "Why,I'd be honored to be your girlfriend,Peter." she said a bit dreamily. She finally had gotten what she had been wishing for for so long, to be dating Spider-man and what was even better than that was that dating Spider-man meant she was also dating Peter Parker,her best friend, who also happened to be the sweetest,cutest guy she knew. A love struck smile appeard on her face as she basically threw herself at Peter,dusting his cheeks with kisses. She made sure to avoid the bandaged wound,giggling all the while."You could have had this a long time ago,if you had said something to me, you dork." she teased,placing a kiss on his nose. God she was so happy,all of her previous thoughts and feelings had been shoved to the back of her mind. Right now,all she could think about was Peter.

A large grin grew on his face. This was perfect. He had to resist tbe urge to squeal like a little girl."Then we'll make it official tomorrow. I have a press conference at ten in the morning,we can do it then. Then you'll officially be mine. " the man purred,standing up,he walked around the table to Avery and picked her up with ease,spinning her around a bit. Today was seemingly the happiest day of his entire life. He kissed her forehead,holding the woman tightly to his chest. He couldn't ask for anything more. This was perfect. Nothing could ruin this moment,nothing at all. Not even knowing Peter and or Orchid could walk in at any minute. He didn't care, they could see, it's not like it was a secret now. And he kinda doubted those two would come looking for him anyway,they were probably sorting out problems of their own."This may be too forward of me,so forgive me for asking,but why dont you just I dunno,move into Stark Tower? There's plenty of space you can have you're own room and everything. If I'm being honest Avery,it feels like we've been together for years. . . I'd love to have you here "

Peter grinned happily as she agreed, he felt like he couldn’t be any happier than he was right now. He had finally gotten the girl he had been after for so long. He wrapped his arms around her as she ended up like on top of him, chuckling softly and happily. He could feel the tips of his ears get warm, but what else was new. He smiled at her “How was I supposed to know,” he teased and kissed her cheek gently. She was beautiful, and now all his. He hugged her a little tighter to himself, pressing another kiss to her other cheek. “Well, now that you’re officially mine, I have to take you out at some point. A real date.” he said, smiling at her as he met her gaze.

Avery let out a small giggle, slipping her arms around his neck. She closed her eyes gently at the forehead kiss before opening them again to look into his eyes. She wished she could stay right there, in his arms, forever. It was perfect. He was perfect. And, even though he had such a reputation with women, she knew that this was different. This wasn’t just some scheme to get her into bed. She laid her head down on his shoulder gently as he spoke, taking in his words as he said them. A little shocked by his offer, it was a big offer, but she wanted it. She wanted to see him at the end of the day, see him when she was tired or broken. She wanted to see him when he was stressed and needed her affection. She wanted it. Badly. She picked her head up at met his gaze with her own affectionate one. “That’s a big offer, Tony. Are you sure?” she asked, watching his expression closely. She was only a little worried that he’d get her there and then realize that he no longer wanted her, and then she’d be out of a place to live. But, it wasn’t a huge concern. She just needed to make sure that he was sure he wanted that.

(so Orchid's twin brother Johnny isnt the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to doing what's best for him. He dropped out of highschool and hangs around with the wrong crowd and stuff, so naturally when his friends robbed a couple houses,he was charged too even though he wasn't there and literally wouldnt do that, his friends placed him at the scene though. He was with Orchid at the time,helping her clean up her art studio. I was thinking Avery could be his defense lawyer .o. yay bonding)

She hadn't expected her day to go like this at all, in fact, all she had wanted to do that day was pay Peter back for telling Spider-man to come see her, but that was all blown away, Peter was Spider-man, and now he was her boyfriend. Everything seemed perfect."oh? A real date huh? I hope you know me well enough by now to know that I dont need anything fancy. Just being with you would suffice as a great first date." she purred. Orchid took in his features,a loving smile on her face. She had to resist the urge to kiss him on the lips,so instead she laid her head on his chest,listening to the steady rhythm of his breathing.

He wanted to wake up in the morning with his arms wrapped around her - he knew that wouldn't happen for a while, as he had offered her a room to herself,and he certainly didn't want it to look like he was just using her- Tony wanted a domestic life with Avery,it was as simple as that, or at least, as domestic as his life could get, with him being a hero, on top of everything else."If you don't want to just yet,I understand. The offer will stand as long as it needs to." he reassured,giving her a quick kiss on the lips,pulling away after a few drawn out seconds.

Peter smiled “I know,” he murmured as he continued to hold her close. He leaned his head against the back of the couch as they sat there. It wasn’t until that moment that the exhaustion of the day settled on him, everything ached and his face still hurt from earlier. But, he didn’t want to go to sleep yet, he wanted her, if he went to sleep, he wouldn’t be seeing her. He glanced down at her and a smile hit his lips, his gaze affectionate, she was perfect. She was perfect, and now she was all his. “You should probably get some sleep, Orchid. Its been a long day.” he murmured as he looked down at her. He wanted to make sure she was taken care of and comfortable.

Avery thought for a couple seconds on the offer even though she already knew she was going to take it, he was very convincing, even when he didn’t mean to be. She blinked in surprise at his kiss at first before kissing him back, she felt like she could just melt into his arms. When she pulled back a little, a blush had once again dusted her cheeks. “I-I want to,” she said in a soft tone, now all flustered over him and the kiss, but it was a good flustered. She smiled and laid her head down on his shoulder “I want to be here with you,” she said, biting her lower lip. This night couldn’t get anymore perfect. Even though their date had been soiled, the night couldn’t have gone better.

Orchid snorted at his words. She was tired sure,but she didn't want to go to sleep,not right now,not ever as long as she could be in Peter's arms,though the thought of falling asleep while she was in his protective hold was very tempting. Tempting enough that her eyes fluttered shut and she snuggled into his embrace, her head moving to the crook of his neck."You need sleep just as much,if not more than I do. For God's sake Peter, you were attacked, you must be exhausted." she sat up,a small frown upon her face. She moved off of him,though a bit reluctantly. He needed a proper place to sleep,not some couch, jo matter how comfortable said couch may be. Tony had said they could stay the night here,and if she was correct there was plenty of rooms for them. "You need somewhere more comfortable to sleep, I wont allow you to sleep on a couch in your condition." the girl huffed,trying to blink the sleep from her own eyes. She was exhausted,and it seemed to finally hit her. All her adrenaline was gone,there was no way she would be able to stay up much longer.

A large grin spread across the mans face and he spun her around again. "Alright,I'll have Happy start wedding preparations tomorrow then." his tone was teasing,and there was pure delight on his face. He knew they probably wouldn't be getting married for a while,but it was nice to think about,and with how flustered Avery was right now? It was the perfect time to make jokes about getting married. He loved the way her cheeks were a slight pink color,how flustered she looked,how her expression was one mixed with embarrassment and love. She was perfect,in every way. He was the luckiest man on earth. Tony glanced at the clock,cringing at the time. It was almost eleven. Avery must be exhausted, especially after the events that unfolded mere hours earlier."It's late,and you must be exhausted, I can take you to your new room,if you'd like. . .or" he trailed off,not finishing his words. He didn't want to let go of the woman in his arms,and his unspoken offer for her to sleep with him,so he could hold her and protect her,was one he hadn't planned on making.

"If you insist. . "Orchid mumbled.She sleepily intertwined their fingers,following him down the hallway. The girl bit her lip,she wanted to ask him to stay with her,but then again what if he thought that was weird? They had just started dating,quite literally, so it would be an odd request. The raven haired girl squeezed his hand as she tried to wrap her head around what to do. She didn't want to be separated from him,not after all that happened today. What if something happened in the middle of the night,and she somehow lost him to some crazy person who decided they were going to try to break into Stark Tower? When Peter stopped in front of a room,she looked up at him,her eyes watering. Orchid felt like she was going to cry,though she didn't really have a reason to do such a thing. The girl stood on her tiptoes and pressed a sweet kiss to his lips,pulling him into another tight hug. she forced herself not to cry,she had no reason to cry. Everything was perfect,but the thought of loosing him as quickly as she got him scared her,not that she would ever tell Peter that of course. she held onto him tightly,burying her head in his chest.

It had been obvious she was teasing,but it got under his skin,made him flustered. He knew he was often called the 'billionaire playboy' and maybe,just maybe,those accusations where correct to some degree,but he'd never try to use Avery. The thought of it made his stomach hurt. He cared for her too much to do that,despite what other people had to say,he was very loyal when it came to relationships."But,I wouldn't mind you staying in my room for the night,if you wanted to. If we're going to get married we might as well start sharing a room now."He said a bit nonchalantly,though on the inside he was screaming. The whole wedding thing had been a joke, and she seemed to have thought it was funny enough to join in on it. Why not make it a running gag? And then when the day came that they did get married,they could joke about this and everything would be just fine,like they were now.

Peter walked with her towards the room, trying to decide where to put her or if he even wanted to leave her for the night. He glanced down at her her when she squeezed his hand, partially worried that she wasn’t okay. He stopped in front of one of the bigger rooms and turned to look at her, but his heart sank a little to see her misty eyed. He could tell she upset, but he didn’t know why. Was it something he had done? Or was she just tired? He returned her kiss gently before holding her against him. He frowned a little, confusion wrapping around his head. He didn’t understand, why was she upset? He wasn’t going to ask, but then he opened his mouth anyway “Orchid, what’s the matter?” he asked quietly, looking at her and hoping to catch her gaze. He didn’t want her to be upset with him, or upset at all. He didn’t think he had done anything to make her upset, so he wasn’t too worried about that part.

She smiled at his words, the blush returning once more at the marriage joke. She placed her head on his chest again, trying to hide her warm cheeks from him. “Might as well,” she replied, biting her lower lip. She felt like the happiness was making her chest swell. “Guess we gotta start fighting over covers and space earlier rather than later.” she joked, a small chuckle escaped her mouth at her own joke.
