Orchid's eyes widened as she watched Spider-man swing in to her defense. She winced as he got clawed in the face,looking back at him,she gasped. The girl blinked a few times, as if not believing what she was seeing. Peter Parker,her best friend, was Spider-man, the one guy she had ever had a crush on. She did not,could not, believe it. The impulse to run up and kiss the boy was overridden by her instinct to back away from the fight. She watched it,in seemingly slow motion, reaching her hand out to Peter as he was lifted off the ground. She let out a sight of relief as he caught the man off guard and got out of his grip, though she didn't fully relax until Iron Man showed up. Once everything had settled down,Orchid ran over to Peter,cupping his face in her hands. She didn't care if she was getting his blood on her clothes and hands,all she cared about was making sure he was okay."Peter. . ." She mumbled,pulling him into a hug,sobs wracking her body. The adrenaline had finally wore off,she was tired,and scared, even as relief washed over her."God why didn't you just tell me you were Spider-man!?" She didn't pull out of the hug,in fact,her grip on him tightened.

Tony had had enough of sitting around. The man quickly got up,motioning for Avery to stay. With help from his nanobot things,his suit appeared on him,and he bolted out the door,literally picking up the dude Peter had knocked away from him. The police had finally showed up,so Tony handed the man off. He glanced over at Peter,who was now being bombarded by Orchid. Tony cleared the area,having people leave and what not, cause no one disobeyed ironman. He debated on going over and scolding the kid for not getting out of there as soon as his mask ripped,but instead he went back into the restaurant,his hero suit already off. "I hate to do this,but do you mind coming back to the tower with me? the kid needs medical attention, and there are some things we need to discuss with his little girlfriend out there."A frown crossed his face,and he sighed,holding his hand out for the woman. This was not the way he expected this night to go.

Peter breathed a soft sigh of relief that Tony had shown up, dude with the claws wasn’t going down easily. He then felt Orchid’s presence, forgetting for a second that she had seen his face. His heart sank for a moment before realizing that she didn’t seem that disappointed, but still worried that he wasn’t what she had expected. He hugged her back gently, resting his chin on her shoulder. “I-I couldn’t tell you, people aren’t supposed to know.” he murmured quietly before pulling back to look her in the eye as he pulled the mask off his head fully since the area had been cleared “You’re not.. you’re not disappointed?” he asked, searching her face nervously. What if she had been expecting a buff handsome guy to be behind the mask and instead she got him. “We’re probably going to have to go to Stark Tower now, you know. Cuz you saw... this.” he murmured, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

Avery watched Tony stand up. She wondered if it was bad that she found him suiting up to be extremely attractive. She watched him closely before he was gone again, knowing that it was in her best interest to listen to him. She hoped that he’d be fine, but then again, why wouldn’t he be? It wasn’t long before Tony appeared again, she assumed it didn’t take long to get the guy. She stood up from the chair and shook her head “Yeah, no, that’s okay. I don’t mind.” she replied as she took his hand. She offered him a smile to try to get rid of his frown, it definitely wasn’t how she had wanted the date to go, but she knew he needed to go do it. She stayed by his side as they walked out “What happened out there?” she asked curiously as she looked up at him.

The girl cracked a teary smile at his question."How on earth could I be disappointed? Sure maybe I hadn't expected you to be under the mask,but Peter, I couldn't be any happier that it's you." she said softly,glancing over her shoulder as she heard the telltale sound of a car engine. The girl sighed,and helped Peter to his feet. As Tony rolled down the windows,and motioned for them to get in the backseat of said car,she opened the door for Peter,climbing in after him. She looked over at the boy next to her, tugging the rest of his mask off. Despite the blood that was smeared all down his face,she kissed him. It was gentle and quick,but Orchid felt it got her feelings across good enough. She hadn't expected her first kiss with Spider-man to be in the back of a fancy car, with Tony Stark and his soon to be girlfriend upfront, but whatever works right? She perked up when the Tony spoke to her,making sure she was alright, though Orchid kinda gussed he meant more mentally than physically as it was obvious she wasn't injured."I'm fine, thank you for your concern" she said simply,finding Peter's hand in the dark and hesitantly intertwining their fingers.

The man shook his head as they exited the restaurant. He headed to his car,opening the door for Avery once again before getting in himself."Robbers, with high tech gear. One of them got Peter in the face,the girl saw, and recognized who he was. The police took the bad guys away,but that's the least of our worries." he explained,stopping the car in front of the pair of kids,who he motioned for to get in. He didn't say anything to the two of them,keeping his voice low as he spoke to Avery "This isn't how I planned this night to go, I apologize for that, and for dragging you into this." he muttered,probably driving faster than he should have trying to get to Stark Tower as quick as possible. Once they were a little closer,he glanced back at the pair of teens. "Orchid,are you alright?" he questioned the girl,though he was more asking about her mental state. It was obvious she hadn't been harmed physically. He pulled into the driveway of Stark Tower,keeping his mouth shut the after he got a reply from the girl.

Peter smiled a little, glad that she wasn’t disappointed that it was him. She wondered if he still liked Spider-Man.. or him now. He climbed into the back of Tony’s car after Orchid and tilted his head slightly to see the attorney in the front seat, why was she here? Probably to discuss the fact that Orchid had seen his face, right? He looked over at Orchid when he had been yanked from his thoughts by her tugging at the rest of the mask that Tony was going to have to fix now. Yikes. His eyes widened at her kiss and his cheeks immediately started to burn, of course it wasn’t his plan to have his first kiss next to Tony, but it was certainly with the right person. He kissed her back for the couple of seconds that it had lasted. As Orchid was spoken to, he looked down and grinned happily at the floor.

Avery followed him and climbed into the car, clicking her seatbelt as she listened to his words. She nodded, but didn’t respond, she was more thinking about what they’d have to discuss with the girl to keep Peter’s identity under wraps. She watched the kids get into the car, cringing slightly at the wound on Peter’s, momentarily thankful it wasn’t her. As she was snapped out of her thoughts by Tony’s voice, she looked over at him. A smile lightly touched her face and she shook her head “It’s okay, really.” she murmured softly, keeping her tone low as well “Just means that we’ll have to do it again,” she said, her tone teasing yet serious about seeing him again. She was hoping that they would indeed do it again, because she liked him, probably more than she would’ve wanted to admit.

As they got out of the car and walked into the building,Orchid dropped Peter's hand,shoving her hands in her pockets. No one said anything as they were led to an elevator and then up to what seemed to be a living room. Tony motioned for Orchid to sit down,so the girl complied,taking a seat on one end of the couch,as far away from everyone else as possible. She looked uncomfortable,scared even. The man standing in front of her had immense power,of course she was a little frightened. As he began to lecture her,she flinched a bit,but tried to look him in the face the whole time. "Why would I tell anyone?Its not like I'm out to get him killed, I just found out that the guy I've been crushing in forever is my best friend. Dont you think I'm in a little shock too?" she asked with a huff,crossing her arms over her shoulder. She was in fact, in shock. Honestly the girl barely recognized that she had kissed him minutes ago. Under normal circumstances that probably would not have happened,but here she was,in the aftermath of it all,being lectured by what probably was the world's most famous man.

Tony gave a small smile at her words,but didn't say anything to the others. He led them into the building and through the elevator, up to the living quarters. The man motioned for Orchid to take a seat."Peter,go get out of that suit. I need to fix it. I think you have some clothes here somewhere."Crossing his arms and he stood in front of her. "Do you have any idea the danger you put yourself and Peter in?! You both could have been killed for gods sake! And now,on top of all that,you know who he is under the mask. We kept that a secret for safety reasons. So, we are all expecting you to keep it under wraps as well." Tony seemed to cool down as he spoke,pinching the bridge of his nose. He turned away from Orchid as she spoke, shaking his head. The girl had a point,though it was kind of a really low point,she still had it. With a sigh,he looked back at Orchid and Avery."We'll continue this conversation at a later date,you are welcome to stay here for the night, theres plenty of room. That includes you Peter. I want to take a look at that wound too. "

Peter followed Tony inside, he didn’t say a word, too many thoughts were coursing through his mind. The girl he had liked for a long time had kissed him, and she wasn’t upset that he was under the mask. Was this possibly one of the best nights his life? Possibly, minus the whole wounded face thing. He nodded in response to Tony’s words, still feeling kind of bad that he had managed to ruin the new suit only within hours of receiving it, and it wasn’t even fully ready. “Yeah.. okay.” he mumbled as he walked off to go find clothes. He changed in the bathroom, taking a good look at his face in the mirror. At this point, the majority of it had stopped bleeding besides a few spots. He grabbed a wet paper towel and wiped it off, wincing as it stung. He sighed softly and changed before walking back out to the rest of them, his suit dangling over his shoulder. He nodded “I think... that it’s fine. Hurts kinda bad though.” he said with a slight frown, touching his finger gingerly to a spot on it.

Avery had followed them all inside and, like the rest of them, remained silent. She could tell that Peter was confused by her presence, she had caught him looking at her when they got out of the car, she could basically see the wheels in his head trying to turn. She stood off to the side as Tony spoke to Orchid, her hands crossed over her chest, slightly uncomfortably. She listened to both sides of the argument, both having valid points. Peter’s identity needed to remain sealed, or else he and his family could be in a lot of danger. Silently, she glanced up as Peter had re-entered the room, stiffening slightly as he touched the wound on his face. Part of her wanted to yell not to touch it, but she kept her mouth closed, it wasn’t her place to step in.

When Peter entered the room,Orchid shot up and dashed over to him. She wrapped her arms around him,and looked him over."I'm so glad you're okay. . ." her gaze flashed to the wound on his face,and she cringed."For the most part at least." Orchid held onto him tighter,not even glancing back when Tony spoke up once more,and left the room with Avery. He had left the first aid kit,trusting that Orchid could take care of it,which she could, she's had her fair share of cuts and bruises before, though nothing of this extent. She pulled away eventually, and gently pushed Peter onto the couch,and sat next to him. She opened the first aid kit,and gently began to apply antiseptic to his wound. "I'm sorry if it hurts" she mumbled as she finished and put a clean bandage over it. Hopefully it wouldnt need stitches but they'd have to wait to see.

Tony shook his head at Peter,but he couldn't get a word in edgewise as Orchid literally ran over to the boy. He retrieved the first aid kit,and set it on the coffee table. "The first aid kit is on the table." he stated,taking Avery's hand,he led her into another room,which was the kitchen. Tony wasn't a great cook,but he could make a mean peanut butter sandwich."We'll leave them alone for a while.I hope you like Peanutbutter sandwiches, that's about all we have here,and it's the best thing I make." he chuckled,and pulled out bread and the Peanutbutter, making two of them. He grabbed two wine glasses and poured a red wine into them,sliding the plate with the sandwich and the glass to Avery."Next time we won't be interrupted and the food will be much nicer I promise"

Peter’s eyes widened slightly when Orchid hugged him, still not used to it. But he smiled after a few second and hugged her back. He heard Tony’s words but didn’t respond, figuring they’d talk later because he still wanted to ask about the legal lady. “Well, I’m glad that you weren’t hurt.” he said in a quiet voice as he looked at hurt before releasing her when she had. He took a seat on the couch, partially nervous for her to try and clean the wound, he knew that it was going to hurt and didn’t want it to. He had a tendency to be a baby when it came to pain tolerance, but he let her do her thing. He inhaled sharply through his teeth as the cut stung from the antiseptic, shaking his head at her words. “No, what do you mean? It feels great.” he joked, even though his jaw was basically clenched shut and his eyes closed.

She knew that the night was supposed to go better than it had, but she was still happy to just be with him. She nodded as the plate was slid towards her “Well thank you, for the sandwich. It looks great.” she said with a soft chuckle before taking a sip of the wine that he had given to her. “Maybe it’s a good thing that it happened, means I’m guaranteed another date.” she joked with a little laugh before taking a bite from the sandwich.

After she finished dressing and cleaning the wound, Orchid leaned back against the couch, a frown on her freckled face. She was conflicted, now that she knew who was behind the mask, it would be so much easier to date him, but on the other hand, did she really want to date Peter and ruin that friendship? She kept quiet for a while,before turning to look at the boy sitting next to her. She had a lot of questions for him,but she shoved some of the tougher ones aside,not wanting to deal with any of those emotions right now, unless Peter himself asked her, then she'd willingly face the music and talk things out with him."Why didn't you tell me you were Spider-man? I'm sure Ned knows, all those looks he gave you when I brought Spider-man up make alot more sense now. Peter,you know you can trust me, I know you didn't tell the world for safety reasons,but you know I wouldn't tell a soul. . .Especially after you found out how I felt about him - er you - when I first started chasing after him?"

Tony chuckled,taking a seat across from her. The man finished his food quite quickly,but nursed his wine."You were guaranteed another date even if this hadn't gone down." He said softly,looking at her as if she were the love of his life, which honestly he thought she was. This scene was very domestic, aside from the fancy clothes they were wearing,and the fact there were two kids in the other room, probably working out their own issues and relationship problems. If one had happened to glance into the room without knowing the circumstances or looking too closely, it would seem as if they were a married couple,or at least been dating for a good few years,and were happily living together, enjoying a simple dinner after work.

Peter sat beside her silently, an awkward feeling settling between them. Or at least, on him. He figured she was probably thinking about everything that had happened, all of her thoughts were probably finally catching up. He glanced over at her as he spoke before looking down at his hands. It felt like forever before he finally opened his mouth to talk. "Ned does know. For the soul fact that he caught me in my suit. He also helps me... basically like a side kick." he told her, still looking down at his hands. "But, I couldn't tell you.. I'm not allowed to tell anyone. I couldn't even tell Ned." he said, finally looking back over at her. "Also, it's kind of hard to want to tell the girl you like that the super cool hero she's into is actually just... this. Beneath the mask." he added, looking down again, his cheeks burned suddenly. Only two people knew that he liked Orchid; Ned and Tony, and now he could add Orchid to that list. He felt like his chest was going to explode, he hoped that she wasn't disappointed, even if before she said she wasn't he was still nervous about it.

Avery finished her sandwich as he spoke, realizing suddenly how hungry she was from not eating dinner. And, the peanut butter sandwich just hit the spot. She smiled at his words "That's good because I was having a good time." she responded with a little chuckle. The way he was looking at her was enough to make her melt in her seat, he was already a super attractive man, but that look in his eyes was something else. She could tell that a light blush had dusted her cheeks from his gaze and she glanced down, biting her bottom lip gently. She almost felt like they had been together forever, it just all came so natural. She looked back up at him, her gaze gentle "When can I expect another date?" she teased, trying to find words to break the silence, to break herself out of her gushy thoughts.
