You step out from your hiding place, alerting the fox of your presence. It stops eating, ears flattening with teeth bared in fear and aggression. You charge at the fox and leaps on it, pinning it on it’s back. It yelps and bites your leg, tearing off some fur. Angry, you clamp your jaws on it’s shoulder, tearing away some of it’s orange fur. The fox drops the pigeon and yelps as you pin it down and bite it’s shoulder. It gives a furious snarl and bites you closest to its jaws: your leg. You wince in pain and lets the fox go. It darts away.

You know what? It’s not worth the fight. You growl at the fox, who runs away. You go back to camp empty-jawed. Your stomach growls and you look shamefully at the prey pile. From the corner of your eye, you see your mother wolf resting at the corner of camp.

2. Grab something from the prey pile
3. Go out and hunt again

It’s just a mangy fox. Any wolf could take it down easily. You stare at it menacingly and threateningly before leaving back to camp. You carry the pigeon proudly in your jaws and place it in the prey pile. From the corner of your eye, you see your mother wolf looking at you with proud eyes. Your stomach growls.
