It looks like it is getting ready to cosplay in a video game. It also looks similar to past years.

Definitely!

Are the toes/paws of your kitten a different color than the rest of its body?

Sneaky trying to cut out 2-4 cats from the equation. I won't answer that but I will say that my kitten should (technically) be easy to spot if you paid enough attention in past years, but I also did stretch myself a lot further this year than I have before.
