A Glorious Comeback (1x! with *Adashi*)

"Hey Theodore. That's your full name, right? Do you mind if I call you Theo?" Vaughn cooed softly, offering a gentle smile to the child. "We really have to treat those burns, kiddo. Is that alright with you? I promise it won't take long and you'll start feeling better after."

Theodore looks at timothy, who offers a smile to show its okay before he looks at vaughn again then nods his head once more. "O-Okay." They mumble softly.

"Alright. You won't be far from Timothy, okay? You'll be right beside him, he'll be with you the whole time." Vaughn assured, and let Timothy adjust the boy to sit beside him. He takes the burn ointment from Rhys after. "Alright Theo, you might feel a little sting when I start applying this. You just take a deep breath and why don't you start telling me about things you like? What do you do for fun?"

Theo makes a noise when moved, tightening his grasp at first before relaxing it and letting himself be moved before nodding a bit slowly to vaughn's words. When encouraged to take while rhys was dealing with timothy, Theo went ahead with telling vaughn what they liked to do. Which consisted of reading, drawing, building/playing with building blocks and exploring.

"That's a very good list of activities." Vaughn noted, very gently applying the ointment to the burns and continuing to talk to distract him. "I like to read as well. I really like books. I'll give you some to read soon, while you're getting better. And Timothy here likes to draw. He actually went to school to learn more about art, how cool is that?"

Theodore smiles a bit, nodding slightly and seeming generally alright with all of this information at the moment.

"You've been doing really well." Vaughn said, finishing applying the ointment and then putting it away. He takes a few hypos after, and gently adjusts Theodore's arm to carefully administer the medicine.

Theodore makes an upset, whimpering, noise at the hypo, obviously not use to such an item, thus tried to pull away with little success.

"I know, I know you're scared, but it's okay. This is gonna help you." Vaughn raised the hypo after to show him. "It's gonna make you feel better really fast."

Theodore rubs at his arm as he watched vaughn wave the offending device around.

"Rhysie, maybe we should take him to Atlas, he's like, really going in and out of it." John mumbled as he looked at timothy, who, if it wasn't for rhys at the moment dealing with the laceration over his left eye, would of no doubtedly fallen forward and passed out by now.
