Ares frowned slightly at Coya's discomfort. He glanced down, and saw a wound in Coya. A flash of anger ran across Ares. Who did this? he said in a voice so low, only she could hear. He whirled around and snapped at Bandit, his possessive nerve again was touched by Bandit.

[Hopping Rox]

"Yeesh!" Bandit yelped, jumping back from Ares, "I didn't do it! I swear!"

[Jaguar's Heart]

((Oh! Sorry. Remember the stab wound she got? When her, Demon, and Shalom fought the humans?))

Coya blinked in surprise at Ares' anger, "No one did." She grew sheepish, "Well, when Pike was in labor she was originally going to have them in the open. I didn't think it was safe so had to carry her to my den. The wound reopened when I was running. It's really no big deal..."

Ares calmed down, his concern masked by a face of blankness. He eyed Bandit wearily. Ares seemed embrassed by the fact it was caused by the humans, but couldn't resist a slight whimper of helplessness.

"Is there something we can do to help?" Bandit asked, eyeing the wound nervously.

Coya glanced at Ares, wondering what was wrong with him, then shook her head at Bandit, "No. I'm used to wounds like this. It'll heal, though the pain makes me even more mean and jumpy from my days in The Pits."

[Hopping Rox]

"The pits?" Bandit asked, "What are they?"

Coya's eyes grew shadowed and filled with the horror of old memories, "Hell," she whispered, "It's where humans force animals to fight. It's where I was raised. It formed me."

Ares growled at the mention of The Pits. Herdes tried to get Ares captured, but he had fooled him. He winced at Bandit's eyeing the wound. If he tries, I'll wound him so ..

Bandit snarled. "I don't like humans." He said, "I thought being shot at by them was bad enough, but they forced you to fight? That's horrible. Did you grow up in the pits as well?" Bandit asked Ares.
