I just finished Radio Silence, and
I rated it 4/5 stars on my goodreads account! c:

It was really good, and I could especially
relate to all the anxiety and school stress
the main character, Frances Janvier, was going through.
Actually, it was as if Alice Oseman had
opened my head, rummaged through my thoughts,
and wrote a book about all those thoughts. I could
relate to a bunch of it. I really wish University City
was a real podcast though!! It sounds super interesting, KIND of
creepy, and mysterious. I really liked Alice Oseman's
writing, too. It was easy to understand; Not very advanced,
but at the same time beautiful. I don't know what to say aaa-
it was an amazing read.

Thank you for visiting my profile! How are you doing, friend?

I'm a pretty laid-back person, I would say! Don't be afraid to PM me, I'd love to chat for a little while.
Trade offers are super duper welcome too, however, if I don't respond right away,
it might be because I'm either playing Stardew Valley or reading a book LOL.
I'll do my best to get back to you as quickly as possible.

I got so excited when I found this thread and then I saw a few people were reading Radio Silence and I practically had a heart attack ahhh

I want to join the book club!

Your favorite book and/or author: Hard to pick between a few but other than Radio Silence, H20 by Virginia Bergin has to be my favorite simply because it's been my favorite for a while now.
Why is this your favorite?: I love the narrative from Ruby's perceptive, the creativity of the scenario, and the storytelling as whole. It's about a teenage girl struggling to survive the apocalypse of killer-rain and all the things that come with it. I'm not sure how to explain it, even though I've re-read it so many times. As for her perspective, she's the quintessential popular teen but as to story goes on you learn she is more than that. She makes decisions that are sometimes questionable, doing things like dangerous make-up runs or insisting on brushing her teeth with the last of her clean water but that sort of drew me in. Like I said, it's weirdly hard to explain.
What genres do you like? Realistic fiction, but put any good fiction book in front of me and I'll probably like it
Fun fact about you: I read practically 24/7 but I'm a very poor writer and storyteller, feels bad man
Anything else?: Nope, I can't wait to be apart of this community though. I can't wait to rant about books lol

The local librarian actually recommended Radio Silence to me a long while back and I hadn't gotten around to it but the library was selling old books for a quarter so I decided I might as well buy it a few months ago. She was right about me loving it, I ended up reading it in one sitting. I've tried to get a few people I know into reading it but none of them did, so I'm glad there are actually other people reading it. It seems very acclaimed but not a lot of people seem to know about it for some reason?

I want to join the book club!

Your favorite book and/or author: Aah why so hard.... It's gotta be Eliza & Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia. As for favorite author, probably Patrick Ness.
Why is this your favorite?: I love the concept behind it; the idea that this otherwise ordinary girl created something that connects so many people. Plus, it made me cry, and I only cry when I really like a book. It kind of kills me how her parents had no idea how important Monstrous Sea was?!
And Patrick Ness... I just love how much emotion he puts into his writing!! Whether The Rest of Us Just Live Here, or the Chaos Walking trilogy, I just feel so much when I read them. Besides, I could read his books over and over again TvT
What genres do you like? Sci-fi, paranormal, fantasy, some romance, some realistic fiction, uh. Loads.
Fun fact about you: I have a twin, and I work at my local zoo.
Anything else?: Uhm I think not..

@louise. I've read Bone Gap, and I just read I Have Lost My Way yesterday! I loved them both!
Some books I'm reading now/just read are "The Rest Of Us Just Live Here" (Patrick Ness), "Nothing Left To Burn" (Heather Ezell), and "The Ward" (Jordana Frankel). They're all pretty good!!

I haven't yet read Radio Silence, but I'll look for it at my library tomorrow!!
