There’s a lot of great videos on YouTube. One big one off the top of my head is going on a car ride with them. Have them sit in your lap while someone drives and they’ll seek to you for comfort, if it’s with another rabbit the sit them next to each other and they’ll seek each other out for comfort. Also another human-bunny bonding tip would be just lay on the floor and let them come up to and sniff you/hop on you so they realize you’re safe

Thanks, I've never heard of the car ride trick!

Also, if he isn't neutered yet getting him fixed would definitely help/resolve it entirely. Hormonal rabbits are jerks, not to mention smelly lol

Lol, he isn't fixed but I don't know of a get that does that near me... Is it worth it? He's already 4 and lionhead rabbits only live to 6-8 years... I do plan to get another bunny eventually and neuter him, maybe that will mellow him out. Romeo doesn't smell a whole lot, I can go a couple of days without cleaning his tray out, and he is litter trained so that helps. I will look into a get that's foxes rabbits, thanks for your help!

It's really up to you. It cost me about $350 to have Pumpkin spayed. It was worth it to me bc she's young, but when I got my first bunny I didn't know about all the pros to spaying, and now that she's getting up in years I don't think it's worth putting her little body through the stress. If she gets sick, she gets sick, and I'll cross that bridge if/when we get to it.

I would say it's less important to have a male neutered bc they don't have all the health problems females do when not fixed. The pros for them are mostly behavioral, so if you're not having serious problems with how he's behaving at the mo, then it's rly totally your call.

Thanks for all of the help, He's not aggressive just skittish, I'll try a few techniques I've learned along with the car ride! c:

Will say that after they have hit maturity, which yours has and it being a lion head, i dont really think the behavior will change. He might still act the same as he does now. have seen it happen with a few bucks i adopted. gotta do it when they are young. if its after about 6 months, behavior might not change.

I’d say it is worth it to get him neutered even if he is four. Rabbits actually live up to twelve when fixed and it’ll prevent him from getting certain cancers. It’s really expensive in some places but others it’s cheaper. My sister paid 200 for her rabbit and I know it can get as low as $50. You’d have to call your rabbit friendly vets and asked for prices and see what they think about it! If you still don’t get him fixed there no judging, we all do what we can (: it may be his breed too tbh I had a Lionhead once (her was a mix, I think with polish cause of his fur and size I wouldn’t know though) and he was the biggest butt in the world! Lion heads are freaking sassy

Hmm, I'll think about it. I think he's just not handled enough honestly... I just got a puppy a few weeks ago and side then I haven't held him as much as I used to... He's just gotten skittish not sassy tho.

He might be scared of the puppy too, even if he hasn’t seen the dog it’s still a foreign scent. Safely introducing them may ease his nerves. A good way to do that is set a blanket or toy the dog has played with or slept with in his cage/playpen/room so he can get used to the dogs scent and not be as afraid if he smells the dogs scent on you or sees the dog. It may not be the dog at all but anything to help you and your bun grow close again is worth a try! 🙂

On a different note some girl posted in a rehoming group on fb saying she needs to “get rid” of her rabbit and she’s been keeping it in a FISH TANK. It boils my blood to think about it, she even lied about it when I asked saying it wasn’t when there are photos of it living in the tank on her page. I called animal control but they can’t do anything without an exact address sadly... all I can do is hope whoever buys the rabbit from her will take better care of the port thing...

Oh, that could be it, I didn't think about him not liking the puppy...
That is SO sad about the rabbit in a tank! I feel so bad for the bunny!!

was this a big fish tank?
when it was made good for raabbit or such use, then it could be not bad....because i did see some who had a great cage made in them with two or three areas and places to hide and jump up....ramp to the different Level or hut made to stairs....one area mostly for feeding one for sleeping and the othere was playing i think, they where way bigger with much more space then most normal rabbit cages...and they had a rabbit run outside for them so they could run in the grass with a rabbit hut for spring-summer.
Please klick them or they will die°°!!!
