Alex agreed, pulling the covers over herself. Martha grinned.
"No worries. Now let's tuck into bed." She climbed into her own bed and yawned.

Alessa shut her eyes and relaxed her tiny body. She fell asleep after a while. She had woken up a few times during the night, sitting up quickly and surveying the room. Once she knew things were okay, she'd go back to sleep.

The halls seemed dim and lifeless before faint whispers sounded. The door creaked open, the light flipping on.
The smell of extravagant perfume wafted through the air. The figure marched right over to Alessa's huddled body, looming over her.

Alessa woke up to the light being turned on. She hated it when she'd be woken up that way in the hospital. Still a bit out of it, she winced and tried burying her head under the pillow. "I don't need medicine..." she mumbled. The perfume hit her nose, making her sit up and cough harshly. She was rather sensitive to strong smells.

Kit pushed her forehead lightly.
"Hey! Why aren't you in your bed?"

Alessa flinched when Kit touched her. She curled herself into a ball, looking to Martha and Alex. "W-why w-were you looking for me?" she asked nervously.

Kit growled.
"That's none of your business. Now answer my question!"

Alex peeked her eye open with a wince, listening to their conversation.

Alessa hoped that Martha would wake up and tell him to leave. "B-because I-I feel safe in here..." she answered. She wasn't going to lie about that; Kit terrified her. She kept looking to Martha and would glance to Alex, wondering if either of them were awake.
