Welcome to Prairieclan, a peaceful clan living within Yellowstone national park. We are known for our ability to climb, swim, and survive among other predators much larger and powerful than us. Interested in joining us? Well, let us tell you some more information first. Because we live in such a dangerous area, we must have a well-managed clan, thus we have two leaders, one male one female, two deputies, one male one female, and four medicine cats, and two medicine cat apprentices.

Rank information
Some ranks in this clan operate a bit differently than in others. This is to make things clearer.

Leaders
Leaders in the clan are always mates and are equal in power, so one is not superior to the other. For any important matter, including choosing a new deputy, apprenticing kits, or any other important matter, they must agree. When a leader dies the remaining leader will be given 1 moon to grieve before they must make one of two chooses: Make the deputy the opposite gender of them the other leader and their new mate, or they may retire and become a warrior/elder. If they choose to retire and become a warrior again they cannot become deputy again.

Deputies
The requirements to become a deputy are a bit different in this clan. They do not have to have trained an apprentice, but you must be single and willing to remain single if they are chosen. Deputies are not mates and may not take a mate. This is in case they become one of the leaders.

Medicine cats
Not much different here, except that there's 4 (Plus 2 apprentices) of them and medicine cats are allowed to have mates in this clan. They are still required to know how to climb trees, swim, and evade large predators as warriors do.

Guards
Guards are large or stronger than average cats that, as their name suggests, guard other members of the clan. At least one normally accompanies each patrol in case of danger.

The camp is located in an open part of the prairie, the dens all being built out of brambles and other natural material. In the center is a very tall, large boulder. In case of severe danger, the clan can climb up it and stay out of reach of most predators.

To the north is a powerful river, considered very dangerous to cross. However, it is a valuable water source for the clan. If you do manage to cross, you will be faced with the looming mountains.

To the south is a beautiful forest, made up of many different types of deciduous trees. It is the main herb source for the clan.

The prophecy
When the first flake falls, doom will come
When the elk settle, doom will come
Beware not of the howling, for they will not be your greatest enemy
Beware of what else they may carry

before seven will go to save them all

Prophecy explanation
So when it snows for the first time and leaf-bare officially starts, a herd of elk will come into the territory, causing a pack of wolves to follow them. The wolves will scare off a lot of the prey, as well as be a major predator threat to the clan. The wolves will also be carrying a sickness they are immune to but the cats are not. The sickness causes extreme weakness in the legs so cats can't hunt, patrol, etc (The sickness is not necessarily deadly, but can be) The medicine cats wouldn't be able to find a cure. When several cats are sick, Starclan will send a sign choosing 7 cats to go on a journey to find the cure. All prophecy cats must be either warriors, guards or apprentices.
