Dakota is a more laid back person,he doesn't think about the consequences
of his actions too often,and ends up in more trouble than he expects to be
in a majority of the time.At times he seems to be two different people,
sometimes you'll get the 'fun,silly 'I'm gonna be a rebel and do cool tricks
that fail all the time' Dakota,and then other times you'll get the 'Don't mess
with me,I will kill you if you even dare say something even slightly wrong' Dakota.
It's some sort of personality disorder,the doctors have said as much,but he doesn't
often listen to them all the way,and ends up denying he has anything of the sort,
he doesn't like to talk about it much,so if the subject is brought up he will often
deny it and quickly change the subject as soon as possible. He has an air of
authority to him,which makes most people,upon first meeting to him and speaking
to him {depending on how he acts} feel uncomfortable or uneasy, but he really is
just a sweetheart and he might be a bit of a hopeless romantic, don't mention it to
him though,you'll either get a whole lot of insults or a long lecture on why everyone
needs to end up with their soul mate. He also plays football.
Dakota is the product of an affair his mother Isabella had with his biological father,
Valentine, as are his two brothers, Adrian and Forest. Oddly enough, their adoptive
father, Philip, whom was also his mothers husband at the time she had the affair,
has the last name of Valentin, which means Valentine in another language. He is the
middle child, Forest being a year younger than him,and Adrian a year older. When he
was born,his father began to question if he was really his child,but Isabella reassured
him,saying that Dakota got his looks from someone Philip hadn't met on her side of
the family,and Philip believed her,even if he knew deep down she was lying. Dakota's
childhood was a rough one,at the age of five,Philip had finally had enough of Isabella's
lies and confronted her,little did he know,Dakota was coming downstairs and heard every
single word. He didn't understand what was going on back then,but as he grew older
he began to understand everything Philip and Isabella said to each other. His whole life
had been based on a lie,and Philip wasn't his real father,his mother had lied,lied to them
all about who she was,and who her children were. Once Isabella moved out,it was just Philip,
Adrian,Dakota and Forest,and it was like this for a long while,or at least until Dakota was ten.
That's when Lidia Leijona started coming around their house more often. Dakota had heard
about her before, Philip had always said she was the one who helped him through the divorce
all those years ago,when things were still rough,lent him money when he needed it,of course
he payed her back,but that's besides the point. She was there for him when no one else was.
Lidia acted as a mother in Isabella's absence,she was the one whom took off work to take
care of one of the boys when they were sick, the one who cooked dinner most nights when
Philip came home from work late,in all reality,she was more of a mother than Isabella ever
was to Dakota and his brothers,and she was an even better wife for Philip. Dakota even told
him so on numerous occasions until the boy,at the age of twelve threatened to run away if
he didn't propose to Lidia in the next two days, and Philip did just that,he proposed,and of
course, she said yes to him,much to Dakota's pleasure. In the years to come, life was going great,
Dakota and his siblings finally had a real mother, and they got to see Isabella every now and then,
that is until she said she never wanted to see them again. That's when things started going down
hill for him. Dakota slipped into a depression. Sure he had never been close to his mother,but
that didn't mean he didn't love her, he may have called her Isabella still, and called Lidia Mom,
but he still cared for her,and knowing Isabella didn't want to see him or his siblings again,it
struck him hard, as if his whole life was collapsing around him. He started his junior year
like this,and his friends,and even people he didn't know were concerned for his well being
,so Dakota hid it all behind a bright smile,and when anyone asked him how he was doing,he
always said 'I'm alright,don't worry about me.'
