Anyways, I've decided I'm going to a con for two days instead of my usual single day. For one day, I'm going as a Xenomorph Queen, and on the second, I'm going as an Abyssal Submarine girl from Kancolle. What should I wear, clothing-wise? The only hint of clothing we really get is a tattered bit around the upper arm... (see top left image).

black tshirt, possibly, you can always weather it and partially take off the sleeve to give it that tattered effect. IDK what else to suggest, since i don't know what variables to be aware of, such has how hot/cold the venue can be and stuff like that

The con is normal room temperature, and November's hot (but there is the lagoon nearby, which I plan on swimming in in costume anyway...).

then going for something like a t-shirt that you can partially shred the hell out of is probably a good idea. keep you cool enough but also a little covered as well, since sunburn sucks, but won't totally melt in something hugely long
and then some shorts or something since again, you can cut holes and weather them to heck and back.

or alternatively black dress with an off the shoulder strap - creatively shredded in places. IDK what you feel comfortable wearing though

I've always wanted to cosplay, but never could afford to, but now with my new job I could finally pay my friend to make my costume! Am I the only one to very badly want to be one of their own characters or is that a normal thing? I've wanted to be my girl Mabel ever since I made her years ago. She has been in many text roleplays and is just so fun to be uwu
Her costume would be decently simple aswell, small light wings, a tail belt, horns and teeth. I've got all her clothes, gender, hair, and hight and weight xD

I just want something with a bit of texture and a bit of weight behind it since it's supposed to be in a historically military inspired jacket
