Kit went blank.
"W-Well then I could squeeze in time somewhere, but I have a kingdom to run. Your duty it to grow into a proper princess, marry, and lead this kingdom when I'm gone."

Alex shuffled slightly, hating Kit's tone.

[Boomer]

Alessa also went blank at the mention of getting married and leading the kingdom. "I..." she said, then stopped. Alessa wasn't about to go into details of why she couldn't exactly bring forth a new generation. She felt Kit would just scream at her for something that wasn't her fault.

Kit pricked his ears.
"You what..? Speak up, child."

[Boomer]

Alessa just knew he was going to explode. She looked to her side for a moment, her whole body starting to shake. "I... c-can't... be a mother." she whispered, bracing herself to either be hit or screamed at. Due to the extent of her injuries, it would put too much stress on her body. Alessa understood that she was years away from that situation, but she still would think about it every once in a while.

Kit's eyes bulged.
"WHAT!?" He screeched, letting it echo through the halls. "Well this changes everything! Ugh, what a useless waste of fur you are!" He fist slammed the table.

[Boomer]

Alessa's eyes were wide with fear. She hid under the table, shaking almost violently as tears streamed down her face. It was hard enough for her to come to terms with it, but to have someone call you useless? She had never felt this low in her entire life.

Alex's heart swelled with concern and she spoke out against Kit.
"She's just a child! She can't control how her body functions, and putting her this low is horrible parenting." She knew she'd probably get a harsh beating tonight, but Alex didn't care.
Kit erupted in snarls.
"This is treason!" Temporarily distracted by Alex's remarks he forgot about Alessa. As Kit stood up, Alex glanced to the pup and gave her a shooing signal, telling her to run to her room.

Alessa looked up at Alex, pinning her ears back. She shook her head, not wanting her friend to get into trouble. She was also too scared to run. It occurred to her that running might distract Kit long enough so Alex could find safety. The girl crawled out from under the table and made a run for it.

In his blind rage, Kit picked up a glass case and hurled it at Alex. The massive case struck her left leg, and she screamed. Stumbling back against the wall, she tried her best to shimmy away.

Alessa stopped once she heard the screaming. She came back and used her powers to put up a protection orb around Alex. She left the bottom of the orb open so Alex could move. The pup didn't want her friend to get hurt because of her. "Martha!" she cried, hoping that the nurse could knock some sense into Kit and check Alex's leg.
