Xander smiled and followed close behind her and tried to get past her along the trail. "No fair!" He still enjoyed this little race of there's and continues through it. Catching up along side her at least. "This is very enjoyable Catherine!"

Catherine glanced over at him as she felt his presence alongside her again. She laughed softly and continued at their pace and remained next to him. “It is! I’m having a lot of fun,” she replied as she looked over at him before straight again. She hoped they could do this more often, racing him and walking with him out in the woods and the meadow was fun... and kind of romantic.

Xander started slowing down to look around. "This what quite a fun time!" He looked around and at the sky noticing that it was getting close to dark. "We should head back before it is too dark."

Catherine looked above them at the sky as he mentioned it getting dark, she hadn’t been paying much attention and didn’t notice it, so it was good that he had. She nodded in agreement “Yeah, I suppose that we should,” she replied as she looked back down and over at him. She gave him a gentle smile as she slowed the horse’s pace to a walk beside Xander and started to make the way back towards her home. “I’m glad that we got to have this time to ourselves.” she told him as she looked over at him.

Xander followed Catherine back towards her home so they could put the horses away. "Yea I am glad we got to do this, we should really do it more often it was a lot of fun!" Xander looked at Catherine and smiled at her. Once they got back to the home he awkwardly got off the horse and walks with it into the stables, he the chilled with Catherine. "So what is the plan now? You staying here?"

Catherine slipped off the stallions back and also put him into the stable for the night. After taking equipment off both horses, she wandered back to Xander. “Oh, uh..” she mumbled as she thought for a moment, her fingers playing with her skirt. “I guess I should probably stay here tonight,” she glanced at the house and the back at Xander “But you’re welcome to stay if you want, and if not that’s fine too,” she added and smiled a little at him.

Xander looks back and forth between the house and the castle, then he goes over to Catherine and hugs her. "I'll stay the night, wouldn't want to have to have you come save me." He smiled at her and his joke and then walked with her towards her house. "I hope your mother isn't going to be bothered by me staying here again."

Catherine laughed a little at his joke “I could take them too, I’m trained now.” she joked with a little chuckle. She then shook her head “No, she won’t mind at all,” she told him as she walked beside him toward the house. She wouldn’t admit it out loud, but she was glad that he had decided to stay overnight.

Xander laughed with her while walking towards her house. "Very trained. I am glad she wouldn't be bothered with me being here." Xander put his arm around her and smiled. "Thank you for letting me stay." When they got to the door and opened the door for Catherine and walked in after her.

Catherine leaned into him a little when he put his arm around her “Of course,” she responded to his thanks as she looked up at him before they walked into the house. “The bathroom is upstairs, and you probably need clothes for tonight right?” she asked as she turned to look at him. She’d probably just grab him something from her dad’s closet upstairs since no one touched them anymore anyhow.
