nails/keys dragging across a desk surface. i can't stand it. as a result, i never leave my keys on a desk or bedside table, they're always in my coat pocket or on a loveseat/pillow/etc.

hm. i would make a word, with the meaning of love, but also sadness and bitterness. like, a hopeless love? what that word would be, i have no idea. but i feel that a lot and a word for that specific emotion would be nice.
