Its based off the theme of the first GH litter ^^

Actually its a bit deeper that that, it originally comes from the colorq of our usernames, the particular shade of pink that it is, is sometimes referred to a 'salmon', as GHs we tend to often refer to ourselves as 'salmon' because of this, and ended up giving ourselves the nickname 'Salmon Squad' based off of that. When we did do our first GH litter, because of that, we decided to make the pallet themed after that color and name, and so thats also the reason the newborn for the 2016 litter says Salmon Squad;


Its stuck since then and we still do stuff like the Salmon Festival and calling them Salmon cats every year, its referring to the GH aspect rather than the color now.

Basically, its just another way of saying they are General Helper cats.
