The Eclipse Herd

Hello and welcome to the Eclipse Herd! This deer herd is a little strange.

The Eight
The ones that are in charge are called The Eight. They are four Siamese twin does who have strange powers that help keep the herd balanced.

Bucks
The Bucks are always competing for the affection of the Does, or even perhaps one of the Eight. Their main job is protecting the herd from threats.

Does
The Does' main jobs are taking care of the nursery fawns. They are a lot cooler-headed than the Bucks, and rarely fight.

Apprentice Fawns
Fawns that are old enough to walk are apprenticed to a Buck or Doe depending on the gender. They are taught the basics of survival, as well as old myths about the herd.

Nursery Fawns
Fawns too young to walk are put in the nursery, where they are taken care of by the Does.

The Eight


Hymn
Power of death. Though some deer would argue that she is the least helpful of the Eight, she is the most powerful and helps keep her sisters in check.


Fern
Power of life. She makes sure that the forest is always healthy so her fellow deer always have something to eat.


Gemini
Power of space. It's unknown what she actually does, but she's rumored to control the day cycle to healthy hours.


Droplet
Power of water. She always makes sure the water is clean for the deer to drink.

A friendly buck who doesn't fight, but instead tries to impress the Does with his drawings.

Bury A Friend

This doe is the strangest of the normal does. She has a collection of stuffed animals she has stolen from humans camping. Some deer say she is a stuffed animal herself.
