Xander held her hand and followed her to the barn. Xander went to look at the horses as She was getting equipment for the horses. Xander waited patiently."The horses are quite pretty!"

Catherine smiled as she got them ready “Thank you,” she replied back to his comment as she looked over at him. “Okay, this beauty is who you’re riding.” she said as she patted the snout of an all brown mare. “She’s good, so she’ll let you climb on no problem, just make sure you keep your legs tight so you don’t fall.” she said with a soft laugh at the thought of a little tumble.

Xander looked at her and listened then he looked at the horse and smiled. He walked up to the horse and pet the horse gently But hesitates to get on the horse looking at the equipment and then back at Catherine and he scratched his head.

Catherine watched him before leading her dad’s horse out after getting him situated, which was a brown and white stallion. “Here I’ll show you how,” she said, getting ready to demonstrate on her own horse. She grabbed the reigns close to his neck in her left hand and placed her right hand at the front of the saddle to hold herself before getting her left foot into the stirrup. With one movement, she pulled herself to stand up on the stirrup and kicked her other foot over the horse’s back then looked at Xander. “I can help more if you need me to,” she said, watching him as she wondered if she’d have to get down.

Xander watched silently as she was getting onto the horse, focused on details and he looks over at the horse he was going to ride and he followed the same steps and placement and got on the horse. Slightly nervous but hopefully got on the horse well enough and looks back at Catherine. "I did it. Well enough to get on at least."
(Idk about you but I actually don't know anything about riding horses xD)

Catherine smiled proudly at him “Good! She should follow me without issue, so you shouldn’t have to worry about her wandering.” she started as she looked at him “Just keep a grip on the reigns, and when you want her to go, just bump her sides with your feet. “Woah” means to slow or to stop.” she said and bumped her feet to the horses sides to demonstrate, steering the horse in a circle around Xander before stopping again.

Xander nods and grabs the reigns and He looked at his feet and bumped the horses sides to start moving. When the horse started moving he smiled. He had the horse walk around a bit then he went back to Catherine and stopped the horse. "Woah there." He then looked at Catherine. "I think I am ready!"

Catherine continued to watch him before she smiled “Good job!” she said and steered the stallion out into the backyard before she looked back at Xander. “We’ll take the trail that goes through the woods just over there,” she told him as she pointed to an opening in the woods.

Xander looked over at Catherine and nods. "Thank you." Xander tries to follow Catherine to the backyard and towards the forest. "This isnt so bad so far. I sort of like this." Xander smiled and finds it relaxing to be rising a horse.

Catherine walked the stallion beside Xander towards the woods and nodded “I’m glad you enjoy it, I’ve always liked to ride them... to blow of steam kind of,” she said as she looked over at him and then straight forward again “Like to think, get away from people for a little bit.” she added, patting the horse’s neck with her hand before gripping the reigns again. She remained next to Xander as they entered the trail that went through the woods, watching the scenery around her change into trees and undergrowth.
