Kenji Spiro / Nineteen / Tagged: Xander
- Quiet, still, peaceful. Kenji's body was already cold to the touch and he didn't really need to breathe much to stay "alive". If you can call it alive. He was confident in his plan but he had a backup plan as well. If he couldn't get the keys- he would simply need to feed off the human in the cell with him to gather his strength. That may prove to be hard to explain but in the end- he never did well in confined spaces. Kenji laid face down on the disgusting cell floor. It didn't bother him so much seeing as he couldn't get infection or sickness from the floor's unsanitary conditions. The ranger's voice echoed off the stone walls as he encouraged the guards to come to him. Playing dead was easy. Kenji's eyes stay wide open with a vacant gaze staring at nothing. He saw plenty of dead bodies in his past and could reference any number of them. Just as he suspected, the lumber, heavy steps of the armor-clad guards made their way to them. One yelled to Xander in a growl, "Quit with your yelling, will ya." They stopped at the bars of their cage as if to take in the scene. One nudges the other from the sounds of it and it jolted the man to pull out the keys to unlock the cell. "You!" the guard without the keys pointed to Xander with a hard glare and angry tone. "You stay back, you hear? One move and I will chop off your ear." They both filled in the empty space with their broad shoulders and sharp weapons. The one who moved to Xander kept his hand on his sword ready to pull it at any moment. The other bent down to the vampire to check his pulse.
"No pulse, Jin. This one is dead as a doorknob." The fingers the pressed up against Kenji's neck were warm and calloused. He could feel the human's pulse through those fingers and it made him crave the blood pumping through his veins. "Get'em out of here. We don't want him sticking up the place more than it already it. Unless you want to clean it up." The sneer that followed was unseen by the vampire as he prepared his quick attack. The man started to drag his heavy, limp body from the cell but just as he passed the bars, the plan went to action. Kenji's movements were so fast that they certainly were not human in any way. Despite this, he was much slower than he would have been if he was not injured. One minute, he was on the floor dead-like and the next he was behind the guard with his head locked in a strangling hold. He could snap the man's neck right then and drink his blood but he didn't. He exercised great control at that moment and merely squeezed his neck long enough for him to slump over unconscious. His head jerked up to the other man preparing to help if needed.
