I have a question for everyone.
Does anyone wear furry apparel out in the general public?
Not big costume parts, but pieces such as graphic tees/hoodies, bags, kigus, ears/tails, etc.?
Have you even had comments made because of it?

I've been wanting to express the fandom more, but I'm nervous of getting negative attention.

I personally do this all of the time. I even have what I call a “furry outfit” which is complete with a hat with ears, a tail, and some normal gloves. A furry shirt, matching color jeans, etc..
I get a lot more looks than I do comments, but whenever I do get a comment, I normally just walk away. You’ll also meet a lot of people though who are really into it!
Negative attention, in my opinion, will happen if you ever express an interest or community. Sadly, it’s part of life.

I’m a furry too and there is not reason to be nervous! There are always going to be people who disagree with what you do but don’t let them affect you!

I have a pair of feline ears that I wear a lot and I've never gotten any negative comments I've even worn them to church before, in fact I mostly get positive comments. Older people really like them, they usually tell me they're cute, which makes me feel really good. I say go for it if you want to :)

My jean jacket has a bunch of furry pins that I have - they're a great way to show your furry pride without it being too obvious! Nobody really made any negative comments on them.
I'm planning on getting more furry apparel in the future though ^^

Yess this is a good question! I have four hyena agenda shirts and two nomad complex suits that I wear pretty much daily and I've only ever had positive comments about them, I even had a non furry friend that bought a few himself because he liked the designs so I can definitely recommend them!
But my favourite thing to wear in public? This monstrosity

Mainly bought one because my art mascot Anover wears it and I was surprised they actually exist but m a n it works wonders! Other furries can recognise it and have approached me because of it and non furries just take it as a joke and don't think much of it so it's a win win situation

Gotta be honest though and say the tails and ears aren't for everyone even furries, met one of my good friends from him doing it in public but we were too scared to talk to him and called him 'tail dude' for a full year until he ended up in my college class and I actually had the chance to speak with him rip
It's great at furmeets and cons but you need a lot of courage to do it in public and he said he's had a lot of negative attention for it in the past so it isn't something I'd personally attempt
