"a hunting mission? well, i've never stalked a leader before!" waterpaw said with a mischevious grin. as they came up to the twolegplace fence, she could smell crowstar's scent. flexing her claws, she looked to ocelotstep for approval to climb it. "i think he went in here."

Stormheart exited the warriors den with her usual quiet demeanor. The she-cat had felt so much guilt for accusing a cat-- no, a clanmate for murder. Her fur prickled and stood on end as she caught sight of Flypaw, the son of Rooksea and brother of Minnowpaw, the cat she had wrongfully accused. Stormheart padded over to the tom who sat by the freshkill pile, "Hello Flypaw... Would you be alright with me joining you?" She asked with the flick of her ears. "I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for... Everything. I think everybody was afraid... And accused without thinking... I know that I surely did. So I wanted to apologize, on behalf of Minnowpaw as well." Stormheart meowed, nudging a piece of freshkill toward Flypaw.

Flypaw nodded as the answer to Stormheart's question. He flicked his fluffy tail, looking down at the prey that the she-cat had slightly pushed towards him. "It's.. it's okay, I understand. Fear makes us do crazy things," he sighed after speaking. "It just.. kinda hurts to lose two family members within a short amount of time. But.. hey, at least I still have my dad, so that's good, I guess."

Cranekit blinked awake, sighing as she curled tighter in her nest. "What's going on?" She aksed.

Newtpaw woke up with a pulsing tension headache. The stress of Rooksea’s murder had stressed him out so much that it sent him into a sickness. He pushed himself to go outside, hoping that maybe the clan would just go back to normal. The tom needed to do something to clear his head, perhaps a walk? Going by himself would make him uneasy but asking someone to travel with him also made Newtpaw nervous. The dark ginger looked around before deciding it was best to just keep quiet.

Ocelotstep hesitated by the twoleg den, staring back at Waterpaw. It seemed.. wrong.. to go into a twoleg den, especially as she had been raised to not set paw in one, but nodded, sniffing the air for any other scents. A mix of them hit her but among them she could smell Crowstar, nodding once again towards her apprentice, "I think so too." Approval of her apprentice's skills rang in her voice as she kept sniffing the air, checking for dogs. The twolegs were known to have them and Ocelotstep didn't want to put her apprentice's life at risk if there happened to be one. However, there was also a distant coppery smell. It smelt of blood but Ocelotstep shook it off, it could've been anything, or just the scent from Rooksea's death. The thought that they had lost a loyal deputy so recently pained her. Waterpaw appeared overly eager to jump the fence and, once she had concluded that there wasn't a strong scent of dog around, spoke up with, "Alright, alright. Go ahead and jump it." She purred, "Maybe you can catch Crowstar by surprise. If he's mourning though, be sensible about it. I don't want to know my apprentice was the one to stop the leader from mourning his kin." She enforced with a harsher tone as a warning towards Waterpaw. It was likely that Crowstar was out here because of his kin, interrupting him with a surprise wouldn't be pleasant. One of the reasons why she hadn't brought a larger party along with her.
