Echo - 17 - Heterosexual - Female - Single - Power: Hexes - Location: Forest - Tags: TommyEcho looked up as Tommy spoke. "Are you sure? I don't know if I want you to go out there all by yourself." She said slowly and watched him nervously. In her experience, it was easy to get jumped in the woods. It was much safer to at least stay in a cave where they couldn't get ambushed. Echo didn't typically have to worry about getting cornered with her ability. One quick swipe and she could at least knock them out. But Tommy wasn't like her. All he had were his fists and guns pretty much always won against fists. She didn't like these odds and she had a bad feeling about this. "What if there are people out there? What are you going to do?" Echo tried to limp after him, eventually having to lean on the wall after a few steps. She could tell he was just as nervous as she was. As he leaned out of the cave, Echo held her breath, her hands starting to glow green. Thankfully, all remained quiet. Tommy moved out of view as he stepped out of the cave and Echo hobbled after him, doing her best to keep an eye on him. She felt like an overprotective mother at the moment. Even if he was older than her. A flash of green danced through her eye as she looked around for him. Where had he gone. Everything was too quiet for her liking. Suddenly, she heard the sound of foliage moving followed by a groan of pain. It was definitely Tommy. A chill went down Echo's spine and she jumped forward without hesitation.
"Hey!" She barked, her eyes glowing green and a ball of energy forming in her hand. Echo followed the noise of two men scuffling until she reached a small clearing. By now, her leg was throbbing immensely and she bit her cheek to distract herself. Echo soon saw a man charging towards Tommy who was on the ground. The girl threw the ball of energy in his direction, striking him right in the chest before he could reach her friend. The man let out a yelp of pain as he was sent sailing into a tree. He seemed stunned and Echo quickly made her way over to Tommy.
As she got closer, she noticed the knife in his arm and visibly paled. "Dang it." She hissed and looked up as the man started to get up again. "Stay there. You've done enough." Echo growled, holding out her arm and pinning him back to the tree. He fought against her and Echo felt her energy begin to drain. Blood began to drip from her nose and mouth as she held him there and Echo wiped it away. Her eyes were blazing and she began to press him even harder against the tree. The man let out a scream of pain as she continued to apply pressure, blood continuing to pour from her mouth and nose. Echo was beyond furious at this point and was almost unrecognizable. Her eyes glowed green and she grinding her teeth together, her lips twisted into a snarl.
Kita - 20 - Heterosexual - Loner- Female - Single - Power: Kitsune Shifter, Spawn Fire - Location: Forest - Tags: Kris, Alyssa, Michael, Cinder"I'm fine right now. You've practically carried me across the forest. Now quit it before I-" Kita flinched when someone started to move towards them. A girl who appeared to be around Kris' age. The shifter watched the girl warily as she spoke to Alyssa. Suddenly, she called for someone named Michael. Kita twisted her head around, trying to find who that was. No response yet. Her mind wandered to the state of the camp. What had happened here? The girl studied the individuals that surrounded them. Each one looked scared and most had been injured. It had to have been the peacekeepers. She noticed that another man was also staring at her and Kita quickly looked away, pinning her ears nervously. "I don't like this." she whispered quietly, wanting nothing more than to dart back into the forest. Her panic only rose as more people emerged from some sort of underground room. Kita almost choked on her own spit out of nervousness and she continued to thrash her tails anxiously as Kris began to lead her in the direction of the house. At first, Kita resisted despite her fatigue. The idea of being trapped in the same room as a bunch of other humanoids was not something she was fond of. However, she soon tired out and allowed Kris to help her inside. Blood had already started to ooze through the bandages that were wrapped around her shoulder, stomach, and leg and Kita breathed a small sigh.
Eventually, Kris sat her down on a cough and Kita slouched to the side. By now, the gun wounds were bleeding profusely and Kita shut her eyes to block out the pain. She visibly jumped when she heard a man's voice come from a different room in the house. That had to have been Michael. She could feel Kris working to change out the bandages but she didn't pay much attention to it. Everything hurt and she was miserable. They had been put through hell the past day and Kita wanted nothing more than to sleep.
Cinder - 18 - Heterosexual - Defender- Female - Single - Power: Conjures Animal Spirit Forms - Location: Lost Kid's Camp - Tags: Michael, Kris, Kita, AlyssaCinder watched with horror as Michael began to heat up a knife. "Are you serious?!" she hissed and watched as he cauterized the wound. It was something she had done to herself but only as an absolute last resort. She much preferred to stitch up her own wounds as apposed to burn them. Once he was finished, she watched him carefully in case he passed out and followed him to a chair. Once he sat down, she felt much more relaxed and willing to leave his side for a minute. He named off a list of supplies that he needed and she quickly moved over to the medical kit that they kept in the family room. Cinder grabbed disinfectant, several roles of bandages, gauze, and a few clean towels. As she was walking back, she noticed two strangers in the family room. "Who are you guys?!" She barked and studied them carefully. She also saw Alyssa as well. Cinder quickly realized how banged up they all were. One seemed to have been shot a few times and Alyssa seemed to have possibly been shot as well. Cinder tore herself away from the scene and walked back to the kitchen with the supplies. "There are two loners in the main room with Alyssa. Alyssa and someone who appears to be a shifter both got shot. They're all in pretty serious condition." She placed the supplies on the table near Michael so that he could reach them easily. "I can help you if you tell me what you want." She added.
Nyx - 22 - Heterosexual - Peacekeeper - Male - Single - Location: Park - Tags: OpenNyx watched as the girls left, watching them silently as they made their way out of the cave. It was a sorry looking group and he almost felt bad for them. Almost. Looking at the key, he took a deep breath and began to crawl towards it. The movement was incredibly painful with his burnt leg and it took way longer than it should have. After an hour of slow progress, he finally made it and managed to pick up the small object. Unlocking the cuffs was a whole other challenge and it took Nyx several tries before he successfully unlocked the cuffs. Once his hands were free, he let out a small sigh of relief and managed to slowly get to his feet. Nyx kept most of his weight on one leg and began to limp out of the cave. He managed to orient himself in the forest and began making his way back to town, hopping on one foot.
