through his bony clutches. now that voldemort is gone, deatheaters have continued to guard azkaban. although, the ones who define evil live among the muggles, changed appearances, changed names. these people cannot be picked out from the crowd. clever. deatheaters are on the loose and run wild searching high and low for these escapees. wizards and witches from all over the globe have come together to search and restrain those of interest. the ministry of magic of both london and the new york departments, in particular, is out fighting these escaped inmates.

traditional setting of harry potter and a few scenes of fantastic beasts. the home where both newt scamander and dumbledore's army had risen and learned the ways of being the legendary wizards to go down in history. if your character is aged between 12-17 this is the most likely place that they will be. classes include compulsory defence against the dark arts, charms, potions, transfiguration, astronomy, history of magic and herbology (flying classes will only be for first year students).

♔ 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒚 𝑶𝒇 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒄 - 𝑳𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒏 𝑫𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕

majority of workers are of british descent, occasionally will have other descent. a place where all magic law has been enforced in britain. law breakers will be prosecuted here regardless of age. if you character ranges from the age of 25+ they will most likely be working in these sections, younger ages will start in mailrooms and be promoted into higher roles.

♔ 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒚 𝑶𝒇 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒄 - 𝑵𝒆𝒘 𝒀𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝑫𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕

commonly filled with american witches and wizards, but also is very diverse. tend to be more strict than those of the london department. very easy to pick out of a crowd, normal public attire is long grey scale trench coats and a varied coloured bowler's hat. characters aged 25+ are normally working here, more people are in the higher ranks therefore more job opportunities for postgraduates.

♔ 𝑰𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒚 - 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒇𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑾𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒓𝒚

the north american school of witchcraft and wizardry. transfiguration, defence against the dark arts, potions and charms are compulsory, as well as, xylomancy, arithmacy, study of ancient runes and creature care are also compulsory classes. students are aged between 12-17. wizards such as, porpentina "tina" and queenie goldstein have been educated here, just like seraphina picquery who is madam president of the ministry of magic - new york department.

♔ 𝑨𝒛𝒌𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒏

incredibly well known area which all witches and wizards know. the most dangerous criminals of the wizarding world are held here. majority of the occupants have no sanity left in them. deatheaters are heavily commonly floating around this area. high ranked ministers and their escorts are only permitted on these grounds, students and lower-middle class wizards are forbidden, unless otherwise.

a place where both muggles and wizards interact. there are plenty of secret entrances into the ministry of magic, all wizards must keep in mind to never let a muggle see you. if a muggle sees you, you must erase that memory.

♕ 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒚 𝑪𝒂𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒐𝒏

common sanctuary for both students, teachers and ministers alike to have a chat. toad in a hole is a real treat. this is also an entrance into diagon alley, a street of shops for all your wizarding needs.

♕ 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑵𝒆𝒘 𝒀𝒐𝒓𝒌

very common for no-maj's to commemorate and chat. entrances into the new york ministry are far more secretive. members commonly apparate inside when no muggles are watching. memory erasing is highly common, they aren't very careful.

♕ 𝑶𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔/𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒔

these include: ministère des affaires magiques de la france (ministry of magical affairs of france), ugandou school of magic (uganda), beauxbaton academy (french school), durmstrang institute (norway/sweden school), mahoutokoro school of witchcraft and wizardry.(japanese school).
