Xander smiled at her. "I am glad that you are feeling better Catherine. The guy should be in jail at the moment. He will probably be questioned for any info he might have then just kept in the jail. Prince's orders so nobody would question it and only the king would be able to intervene in that matter. So you are safe from that guy. Plus I will still get guards to patrol this area for a few days." He puts an arm behind her and rubs her back lightly to try to comfort her.

Catherine blew out a soft sigh of relief and smiled at him. She leaned into him a little as he rubbed her back “Thank you,” She murmured as she met his gaze. She glanced at the window “Should we head to the palace soon? I feel like your father will be looking for you,” she said as she looked back at him.

"Anything for you Catherine." Xander looks out and smiles slightly. "Yea need to head back before search parties become a thing. Also have to change so he doesnt see me in this. Also have to get some guards to patrol these areas." Xander stretches and starts getting ready to leave

Catherine smiled and nodded "The less he knows, the better." she said, grabbing her cloak off the hook. She was sure the last thing Xander needed right now was to worry about his dad asking questions about last night.

Xander walks out the house with Catherine and heads a different way towards the castle. I more quiet less people route. "Don't want people to know about my other side. Xander stayed close to Catherine to keep her safe from anything that would happen.

Catherine looked up at him as they walked and nodded in agreement. “I understand, that’s something you want to keep hidden from the public.” she said with a little smile. She looped her arm through his, looking down at the dirt beneath her feet as she walked. “What if he asks where you were?” she asked, wanting to keep the story straight if she was asked as well.

Xander looks around and thinks. "I am not sure.. Might just tell him that I was with you the whole night. I would have no other reason to stay out from the castle the whole time. Unless you have a problem with that." He smiled at her and lets her loop her arm around his. "How did you feel about what I had did last night..? You sorta saw me kill someone.."

Catherine nodded “That sounds good to me,” she replied and smiled before she looked down. The smile fell as he spoke about what had happened last night. She shrugged “You scared me at first, I didn’t know it was you. I thought we were being attacked..” she started, still watching the ground. “But, then I realized it was you, and I felt..” she paused and looked back up at him with a small smile “Safe.” she finished before looking around them. “I mean, don’t get me wrong, it was scary. But I knew that you were just protecting me.” she murmured.

"I am sorry to have scared you Catherine. I was just trying to protect you." He felt bad for scaring her but felt good to still do the right thing. "I did what I thought was necessary to keep you safe." He smiled over at her then looked around as they got closer to the castle.
