Xander goes and questions some of the guards to see if they have seen Catherine, though no luck from them he looks down sadly and then goes into town to look for her. The king wakes up and gets dressed and everything getting ready for his stressful tasks for today.

Catherine set the paper on the ground so she had a flat surface to write on, making sure not to make eye contact with the men. She writes exactly as they ask, the letter reads: Xander, I have been taken captive by men that demand money in exchange for my return. They ask for a good amount in gold to be placed on the town bridge at midnight, any later and they say I will not return. Signed, Catherine as she finished writing the letter, she handed the pen and paper back to the man, her hands shaking. They tied her wrists back up, and she winced at the pain before watching them leave again. Tears welled up into her eyes as the fear started to sink in.

The men walked outside and found a random child outside, further from the building so they couldn't be traced and instructed he find the prince or the guards and give them the letter. The kid ran off and delivered the letter to a guard instead of putting forth effort to find the prince.

The prince continues to wonder around the town searching for Catherine. The guard with the note eventually finds the prince. Xander reads the note in shock and quickly rushes towards the castle. "No no no this cant be happening." The prince is a little angry and upset and starts to try to come up with a plan.

Catherine has now been left to sit in the dark room by herself for a while, and her wrists were killing her. She moved into the corner and laid her head against the wall. She could hear the men moving around and chatting outside of the door but she couldn't make out anything of what they were saying.

Xander calls guards to start searches for Catherine then he works on getting a bag of gold for the men, then he practices shooting his bow at the training area, determined. He wants to save Catherine and kill the ones who have captured her.

Catherine pressed herself against the wall, almost to get away from the men as one of them brought in food and released her wrists for the time being and then left. She looked at the food in disgust before she wandered to the door to see if it would open. But it was locked. She sat on the floor and pulled her knees to her chest, a tear ran down her cheek.

After some time Xander stops practicing and starts to prep up. He starts to get his leather armor on and his cloak on. Putting his daggers on and he puts on a quiver and his bow. He orders one of his trusted guards to go put the bag of gold on the bridge when it gets close to night.

Catherine stood up as the guy came back after not long and looked at the food then back at her. He didn’t bother saying anything, he just picked up the uneaten food and carried it back out of the room. He then came back in and tied her wrists together and forced her to sit with a rough hand.

Xander does some early practice on sneaking, then heads out towards the bridge to check out the area, remaining as hidden as he can be while in dark black and not complete nighttime. He checks for viewpoints that were close to the bridge. Places that would be a good spot for him to remain hidden while until the guys showed up to take the gold.
