Xander nods and smiles at her messing with his hair. "Goodluck with the talk with my dad Catherine." Xander feels sad that he is going to have to see Catherine leave. "Y-yea see you tomorrow..." He starts to get ready to head to bed and lays down staring at the ceiling

Catherine smiled softly at him "Goodnight Xander," she said in a gentle tone before slipping out of his room and shut his door behind her. She wandered off to go find the king, fiddling with her fingers nervously. She knew she was probably over thinking it, but she was worried he would be upset.

"Goodnight Catherine.." He is sad when she leaves.
The king stays in a quiet place thinking and planning, a bit stressed but trying to manage everything's a bit more nervous then normal.

Catherine wandered into empty rooms to try and find him, but still managed to come up short. She started to wonder if she should just wait to talk to him tomorrow, maybe he was busy right now.

The king gets up and walks out of the room to walk around and stretch, it was getting pretty late so he might as well just take a break for now. "A lot of work got done today."

Catherine turned as she heard footfalls nearby and followed them. As she turned a corner, she spotted him. "Uh- Your Majesty, can I speak with you for a moment.. If you aren't busy, that is?" she asked, fiddling with her fingers slightly nervously, but a polite smile lifted her lips.

The king turned around and looked at her, smiling politely seeing that is was Catherine. "Of course you can talk to me. What is this about?" He stopped walking and had turned around to face her and listen.

Catherine smiled as he turned and she walked a little closer so she wasn’t talking to him from a weird distance. “I actually wanted to talk to you about working here,” she said, glancing down at her hands and then back up at him. She paused while trying to think of words to say “I was just thinking about how it’s not really in my best interest to be employed as a maid here anymore,” she said, hoping he would take it well.

The king looks at her smiles hearing her. "Planning on being with the prince more?" He laughs a bit. "That is fine Catherine, I dont expect you to be working while you are with the prince, if anything you would probably work to assist the Prince. It will be sad to lose a great gardener like you." He runs her head lightly. "You two just have fun, just not too much fun."

Catherine smiled brighter to hear him be so kind about it. She laughed softly at his joke and shrugged “Of course, thank you sir.” she said with a small curtsy. “I should probably run home, I was here longer than I told my mom so she’ll be expecting me.” she said with a slightly embarrassed look that she had to run off. She glanced at the window and could tell that it was starting to get dark, her mom always warned her about walking at night.
