"Youre a royal, of course you are using him." He sat the gun down and looked Callias in the eyes. "You can tell yourself im the bad guy here but i honestly do love him. I waa forced into a situation i didnt like and lashed out. Lucien understands. Im sure you have hurt him too so you know how forgiving he can be. If it came down to it, he wouldnt pick you."

Callias hesitated. Edward did have a point. Lucien was very, very forgiving. "We'll see," he said calmly. "If he does want to leave, I won't stop him. But you don't need to go to extreme measures to make sure he's yours. You are married, after all." He looked him over. "Was that all you wanted to discuss?"

Edward smirked. "For now. Give my regards to Lucien. I feel for him being trapped in the closet with you." He turned and walked off, his guards following after him.

Callias frowned at him as he left, trying to figure out what was going on with him. He wasn't a very pleasant person to talk to. He went back into the room he was staying in, his guards waiting outside of the door. He sat down on the edge of the bed, resting his head in his hands.

Lucien was dressed but had fallen back asleep on the bed. He had laid out clothes for Callias so he would blend in out in town and had started to write a letter to his family but fell asleep halfway through. He shifted a bit when he felt Callias sit down and blinked awake, looking over at him. "Callias? What's wrong?" He mumbled and sat up.

Callias sighed heavily, wrapping his arms around Lucien and pulling him into his lap. "Your ex is very determined to get you back." He was tired of dealing with English royalty. For now on he would avoid it as much as he could. "Our conversation went from him planning on dumping his wife to get you back, to him punishing your family, and the Queen lifting the ban on you, and from you simply leaving me. I feel exhausted from just trying to keep up with him."

"He has that effect on people." He muttered, trying to hide his worry overcthe two of them talking. He kisses his cheek and ran a hand through his hair. "Just ignore him. He is just upset by how his life is turning out."

Callias buried his face in his hair, taking a deep breath to calm down. "He said that he loves you," he muttered. "But I wouldn't believe him when he threatens to harm you family." He softly placed kisses over his face. "Would you be willing to become a French citizen?" he asked him.

"I..." He tried to say but stopped, feeling like it was the proposal all over again. "I dont want to cut my family off, callias. They are all i have abd my nationality is all that holds me to them."

Callias nodded. "I figured that. And I can't ask you to make them move to France." He lied down on the bed, sighing as he stared up at the ceiling. "He might make you stay here. If you want to stay, I won't stop you."
