A Glorious Comeback (1x! with *Adashi*)

Rhys smiles, moving closer to Jack and shoving his face into him. He remains like that for a little longer, the two of them fitting together like puzzle pieces until Rhys eventually pulls back and props himself up, looking more worried now. “The person who attacked us earlier. I need to tell you about them and who hired them.”

Jack is quiet for a moment before finally opening his eyes again and looking at rhys, raising a brow. He seemed really concerned about this all of a sudden. "Well. This really seems to be bothering you, so. Go ahead. I'm actually pretty curious to see who even knows i'm still alive other then your rag-tag group." He mused.

“Hyperion hired them.” Rhys blurts out. Might as well rip it off like a bandaid, fast and painless. He rubs at his neck afterwards, frowning. "In the Tandalus system. I thought I had wiped them off the map completely — uh, no offence — but apparently not. We — shoot, we checked basically every system there was and had driven them all bankrupt. I don’t know how they’ve returned already, and I don’t know how they’ve found out about you, but they wanted you in for research. The person they hired, Fl4k, is a beast master. I told them that they weren’t gonna get you and then they tried to attack anyway."

Thats like a punch to his armored gut, first being told his company was dead and then learning its not really dead and making a return and they're looking for him. Thus he sits up quite a bit now to look at rhys in disbelief. "Why the hell wasn't I told sooner? And don't say 'Because I was afraid you'd want to leave'. No,no, no. That is not okay. You screwed up a high ranked mission no doubt. They're going to send in an operative now. Oh my god. This can't be happening." He stated, getting off the bed so to heavily pace around it as he spoke and made wild gestures.

“I didn’t know what else to do. I didn’t know Hyperion hired them until later." Rhys says, sitting up and crossing his legs as Jack paces. "I’m sorry. I just — I was confused as well, okay? I didn’t know how to handle that information either. And — and yes, I may or may not have held back on telling you right away because I was afraid, of the possibility, that you might leave." He looks at his hands as he speaks, hesitant and confused.

Jack stops pacing so to cover his face and groan loudly. This was not happening! "This is not happening right now. Oh my god." He practically wheezes, swaying alittle unsteadily now and thus prompting him to finally sit on the floor.

“Jack. I’m sorry. I am." Rhys and, moving to the edge of the bed and looking at him worriedly. “Just — do you want me to leave you alone? You seem like you want to be left alone."

"I wish you'd told me sooner. Did this Fl4k guy come alone? Besides his pets I mean? This is important, I need to know how much time we have." He stated instantly as he shifted himself to to push himself back up and quickly squirrel his way over and against rhys now.

“They only came with their pets. Nothing else." Rhys assures, moving back in surprise and a bit of fear when Jack gets unnecessarily close to him. “You’re starting to scare me."

"Which means we have time. Ya know hyperion ain't gunna let this go. And if they fail a high class mission the first time. Then the second time, they're going to send an Operative. They're pretty much black-ops, best of the best, wont know what hit you until your already dead, hyperion soldiers. So yes! Theres a reason for fear here! But if they didn't immediately have an operative with them, then we've got time before one shows up." He stated.
