Silentstar opened his eyes, and blinked once in the dim light in his den. He stood up and shook his thick pelt. He padded out into the sunlight, and waited for his eyes to adjust. He walked out of his den and looked around the clearing at his cats. Padding up to Shadowpelt, he said in a low voice, "I'll lead a patrol to Fourtrees, you are in charge of the camp." He twitched his ear then peered into the warriors den. "Starguide?" he called. "I'm leading a patrol, would you like to come?"

Shadowpelt dipped his head to his leader, then walked over to the fresh kill pile. He chose a plump mouse for himself, then took it into the shade of a pine tree to eat in comfort.
