"Check for injuries or signs of infection." She replied. She took Mary, the Furfrou she rescued, from her cage and gently rested her on the table. It was hard to peer through the matted fur, but she already knew this would all have to be shaved, or at least trimmed very short, as it was matted and dirtied beyond repair.

"Excellent." he praised, watching Christina get Mary up onto the table. Mary growled a little as she was set on the table. She looked around with her ears pinned back and eyes wide. Juan slowly reached into a drawer to get a muzzle, should she start to act out aggressively.

Mary watched Christina out of the corner of her eye. She sprung onto her feet and jumped off the table, cowering into her crate. She had never liked the clippers, even when her old trainer had such a strong bond with her. It was typical for Furfrou to only let humans they trusted to groom them, but Mary never enjoyed it. Maria, on the other hand, was a contest champion and quite enjoyed being groomed. Maria slowly moved towards the front of her crate, watching the humans.

Christina placed another bean on the table.
"Sweetie, please. You're gonna get sick if I can't get your fur down a bit.." She lifted Mary, as gently as possible, onto the table. She glanced over at Juan, then back at Mary. She tried petting her with one hand, and carefully clipping away at thick mats of fur with the other.

Mary kicked and squirmed as she was placed back onto the table. She tried backing away, but Juan quickly set up a small pole attached to the table. He was able to clip her collar to the pole. Mary then tried pulling off her collar; she had all sorts of tricks for getting out of a grooming session. She continued to growl and bare her teeth, threatening to bite.

Mary panted a bit as she wore herself out. She was relieved once it was all over, the constant drilling-like sound in her ears going away. Her hearing was sensitive, which was mostly why she hated the clippers. She knew the humans wouldn't understand as her and Maria's communication collars were broken. Mary became rather placid as she was examined.

Christina set the clippers down, and carefully checked for any signs of injury. Where there was, she made note of it, cleaned it out, and bandaged it up. She finished with giving Mary a gentle, warm bath to clean out her fur, and help her calm down. Maybe. She dried her with a towel, hoping it would be less stressful for her.
"There you go. Much better, huh?" She said gently, petting the newly cleaned Mary.
