Don't be afraid to ask what herbs are for what." Once he had finished speaking, he turned to face the pair of warriors to speak once more. "Good morning Hawkstorm, Goldenwillow. What are you here for?"

The soft ginger and white tabby finally noticed the prey Nightpaw had brought in for them, reminding herself to thank him the next time she saw him. "Nightpaw dropped off some prey for us by the way, dear."

The silver lynx point picked up the mouse she was about to choose for herself before Twistedstep had began to rant to her, and headed back to the nursery, quickly noticing the two mates still cuddling with each other in their nest. Oh well. With that thought, she started to groom herself and once she was finished, she took a bite of the mouse and continued eating.

The ginger tabby suddenly brightened at his question, he was worried he would upset him when he mentioned his mother. "Definitely! You should hear about the one time Amberbreeze pushed me and Softtail into a skunk den, and--right, you should go do that before I go any further."

the soft black tom glanced around the clearing of camp before he stood on his paws, calmly answering the white tom. "in my den preferably." he led he warrior into his den and waited a couple of moments before he began to speak once more. "i know you're aware of the clan's problems, and i'd like to solve a few of them. how would you like to be the new deputy?"

Coyotebite tensed up, realizing that the she-warrior had noticed his obvious fixation on their leader and the tom-cat he'd taken into his den "I'm sure Heronpaw will appreciate that." The large warrior gave her an awkward smile before looking back toward the leader's den, which housed the two conversing felines "I have a feeling Houndstar is making Sagefrost his deputy.. I can't say that makes me very happy.." The red and white tom looked down at his paws with a disgruntled sigh, realizing that his fears about the new deputy may have been accompanied by feelings of jealousy.. but he decided to keep that fact to himself "Sagefrost has very.. different.. ideas for the clan.. I'm not sure they'll be very good ones."

Badgerpaw nodded at his mentor's words, his gaze shifting toward the fresh-kill pile for a moment before deciding that he wasn't hungry. He found that it was best to hunt on an empty stomach anyway.. it always seemed to make it more worthwhile in the long run "Yep. I'll follow after you." The dark-furred tom put a smile on his face and readied himself to race after his mentor, his paws tingling with excitement.

Thornscar trotted quickly back into camp, his jaws full of prey and his feet painfully sore from his early-morning hunt.. something he seemed to be doing a lot of these days. It had been a while since the older warrior got a good nights sleep, though he had no idea what it was that was fueling his insomnia, aside from the fact that he just never felt tired. The tabby tom looked toward the medicine den, his mind wandering to the various herbs stored inside, and the thought of a least a few of them being able to help him sleep. Deciding to ask Crowleaf later that day for some assistance with his inability to rest, the warrior trotted over to the fresh-kill pile and dropped his catch, a satisfied smile spreading across his jaws.

Dappledflame felt a ripple of fear as the tom in front of her spoke. She paused, glancing to the den again. This clan will fall apart if the deputy intends it so. She reassured herself by taking a deep breath. Sagefrost probably had the best intentions for the clan, she silently thought. "I'm sure everything will be okay, if something does go wrong it's the whole clan against him right?", she mewed in attempt to relieve the tension. However, it didn't. "I'm going for a stroll to get some more moss for the dens, would you like to join me?", she said quickly. A pleasant stroll would help ease her fret.

Woodripple watched as the she-cat was suddenly stiff. He thought about asking her what was wrong, but he didn't want it to turn into a bigger issue. "Of course!", he turned on his heel and padded up to Suntail. "Hey Suntail! Would you like to go on a patrol with us? Hounstar seems preoccupied at the moment so I don't think he minds if we just go" , the tom said pleasantly. He glanced quickly at the den but didn't pay close attention to what was happening. He turned his full attention on the tom in front of him.

Sparrowpaw turned to the herbs. He placed a gentle paw on the bulk of the pile, quickly separating by the herb type. She then started to organize based on function, leaving out some of the herbs she couldn't remember. She would have to ask Crowleaf when he was done talking to the queen. She perked her ears, listening to their conversation. She felt a wash of guilt, almost getting excited when the queen and her brother walked in. If something was wrong, this would be a good opportunity to prove herself to Crowleaf. She hadn't had many hands-on experiences. Sparrowpaw was indifferent to being a medicine cat. She always was looking for a way to help, but so far being a medicine cat apprentice has been pretty uneventful. It was mostly organizing, going out to get herbs and then reorganizing while her friends hunted and fought. Maybe if she just had a chance to help someone, she would fall in love with being a medicine cat. But she quickly shook the idea out of her head, hoping everything was alright with Goldenwillow.

Springfeather nodded and padded out of the camp and towards the lake. She kept looking back and making sure the apprentice was still following. She also kept an eye on evdrhthing around her. It was beautiful, even though she saw it pretty much everyday. She could still appreciate how pretty it was out here.

Suntail blinked as he was suddenly pulled out of his thoughts by Woodripple and Flaredust. He looked to his clan-mates and dipped his head in greetings to his friends. “Of course.” The ginger tom mewed smoothly. He glanced briefly at the clan leaders den with a sigh. There’s been talk for a while about Houndstar making Sagefrost the new deputy. He could feel some tension and uncertainty grow in the clan. Even Suntail was feeling weary about the situation. There was something about the white tom that put him off, but he couldn’t pin point it. Suntail shook his head, trying to push away his thoughts. He purred as he looked at the two, flicking his tail. “I’m ready when you guys are.” He said finally.

Dipping his head respectfully to his leader's decision to go into the den, the tom's tail rose and flicked the tip from side to side slightly. He couldn't help but notice that there were eyes focused on him intensely, and he had a feeling he knew exactly who. Turning his head, he spotted Coyotebite, a tom younger than him and also having hunger for the deputy position. He could whine all he wanted, he would have to listen to him in due time when Houndstar was out of commission. Narrowing his eyes at the tom, trying to restrain the urge to bare his fangs, he entered the den with a lashing tail. Once inside, the tom sat down in front of the leader, flicking his ear slightly. As soon as the leader asked his question, the tom grew a smile and dipped his head "I would be honored to be deputy, Houndstar." He purred.

Finally leaving that dreadful kittypet place, she bounded across the land through the forest. She was small, but not too small. She was about a little over half the size of an average cat, still unnatural but normal for her since she was a maine coon. Padding throughout the forest, the she-cat took a deep breath, happy to have fresh air. Perking up her ears, she heard bustling of other cats nearby, confused, she padded a bit closer and peered through the trees with her different colored eyes to see many cats socializing. Though they weren't wearing collars? Why weren't they wearing collars? Wasn't it normal?

Woodripple dipped his head to Flaredust and started to walk into the forest, tail high. Woodripple wasn't too worried about the discussion between Houndstar and Sagefrost. As long as he had his friends he felt safe. He brushed past some trees, finally feeling at peace as the conversation from the cats in the camp died away. He felt his senses sharpen, ears pricked for shufflings of potential prey. His nose twitched at an unfamiliar smell. He paused briefly, his tail swaying gently behind him, trying to distinguish the smell. His head snapped at the sound of a twig. He saw a smallish grey cat peering into the camp. This was no Branchclan warrior. "uh guys....", he spoke in a hushed whisper, inching slightly backward.

Sparrowpaw flicked her ear. It didn't seem like something too serious. She quickly set aside some Juniper Berries for the stomach ache, rolling the purple berries with her nose. She paused, briefly analyzing what Hawkstorm had said. She then flicked her gaze to some pile of leaves in the other corner. Perhaps some Thyme to help her sleep... She licked down her fur before turned back to face Goldenwillow. She smiled sweetly at the queen, again balancing on her feet awaiting Crowleaf's synopsis.

Coyotebite flattened his ears against his skull as he noticed the look given to him by the warrior in question.. or rather.. the deputy in question. He unsheathed his claws and drilled them as far into the earth as they could go, refusing to let the older tom see how ruffled he was by the events transpiring in the leader's den. He huffed loudly, watching through blazing eyes as a small patrol of cats padded out of camp, and then focusing his gaze on the friendly she-cat in front of them "I suppose you have a point.." Coyotebite allowed his fur to flatten as the fae went on, a genuine smile spreading across his jaw at the kind offer she had thrown into the air "I'd love to, if it isn't too much of a burden. I think a nice stroll would do me some good."

Badgerpaw followed quickly after her, giving her a small smile every time she happened to look back at him, most likely making sure he was still following close behind. He followed her gaze as she took in the beautiful scenery, his own eyes widening in awe at just how beautiful everything was when you took the time to enjoy it. once they made it to the lake, he stopped by the edge of the water and peered in, his mouth watering at the sight before him "Where do we start?"

Thornscar looked up from his paws as a familiar voice sounded before him, his smile widening to an almost painful point as he overlooked his apprentice. He gave his head a small tilt as the young tom questioned him, his tail tip flicking in thought "I didn't have anything planned for you today.. you worked hard enough yesterday and I thought you deserved a break. I'd be happy to plan something for you if you'd like." The old tabby looked at his apprentice through soft eyes, a feeling of pride coursing through him as he looked over the young apprentice.
