Pigeoncloud chuckled. "I won't, I promise. I've seen you claw an apprentice's ears enough times to know you're not as soft as you look." He purred, waving his tail happily. Pigeoncloud never intentionally stared at Pinetail, but if there was nothing better to look at (there normally wasn't) then what was the harm in watching him in camp? The warrior was intrigued by how a cat could settle with collecting herbs and dealing with the injured all day, but it clearly suited Pinetail, and it would be interesting to see how that changed his fighting techniques compared to other cats Pigeoncloud trained with.

Hollyheart nodded as Pinetail left, smiling. She wondered what she'd do for the next while. Most of the cats her own age were out, and she didn't feel like talking to any of the apprentices. Reaching her front paws out in front of her for a moment, Hollyheart stretched, before sitting to groom her fur.

Pepperstrike waved his tail, agitated. He wasn't sure what to do with himself. He'd already caught prey, and the patrols had just gotten back, so there weren't any duties he had to attend to. He supposed he should talk to someone, maybe Jaggedbreeze, but a conversation with another cat sounded so unnappealing when he'd just had more of a connection with a loner than he ever has with a clanmate.

"Some of those apprentices needed to mind their elders better." He defended himself as he wasn't good around young cats who felt entitled and thought they knew everything. He would call them out if they stepped out of line, not caring if they liked him or not afterwards. There was a difference between being liked and respected. Reaching a somewhat clear area, he stopped and decided this was a good spot. "Lets do it here. There is enough space for us to move around." He said before swiftly bopping him on the head and leaping back, crouched down. "Come on little warrior! Show me what you got!"

Pigeoncloud spun to face Pinetail, battle insticts kicking in. "Oh, I'll show you alright!" He replied, stifling his grin as he crouched. He took a second to assess the surroundings, and took a slight step to his right, wondering if he could somehow use a tree at the edge of the clearing to get some height over the medicine cat.

Watching him closely, he moved when Pigeoncloud did, making sure to keep him in front of him. He wasn't as strong or skilled as PIgeoncloud but he was quick so he hoped he was more agile than him. If he became trapped under him then he doubted he would be able to break free. Tail lashing from side to side, he took a small step forward as he wondered what he was trying to do. It seemed the other had an idea but he couldn't read him. Pigeoncloud wasn't giving anything away.

Pigeoncloud paused, trying to judge if he could leap far enough to land on his enemy's back, but it seemed like he wouldn't be quick enough, and Pinetail would just get out of the way. Thinking for a moment, Pigeoncloud decided to try and trick the tom. He watched the medicine cat for a moment longer, before he snapped his head up and looked to the left as if he'd heard something. Immediately after though, he leapt forward blindly, simply hoping Pinetail had gotten distracted enough to not react in time.

He walked back to the camp, not actually caring anything as he didn't catch anything at this hunting patrol, instead, he was being focused to look after his apprentices trying to catch a fish. He looked over to the fresh kill pile than to Adderpaw "Do whatever you want, for now, we will go out to hunt something else later on" he meowed to him.

She sat near the center of the clearing, watching as her brother walked back with the rest of the patrol, Her eyes scanning their catches which was not much. Sighing she knew that they needed to go out to hunt little more often for now on.

Confused, he looked to the side but saw movement from the corner of his eye. Head snapping back in Pigeonclouds direction, he saw him leap forward and barely managed to scramble back in time. As the other landed, he decided to retaliate and jumped at the other, trying to land on the tom's back.

Pigeoncloud grunted when the only thing his paws hit was cold earth, and silently cursed, too distracted to notice Pinetail leaping at him. He huffed when the tom landed on his back, and hissed slightly, immediately rolling over in an attempt to get out on top.

Amberheart waved her tail agitatedly. "Anyway, it's not like you have to be a kittypet, letting twolegs put their grubby paws all over you all the time! They're disgusting, how can a cat enjoy something like that? And the food, ugh!" She snapped. Normally Amberheart wasn't too impolite when arguing with someone else, but being a kittypet sounded horrible. Trapped inside a weird nest all day with huge scary creatures walking around and trying to grab at you - the thought made Amberheart's skin crawl.

❝ The tabby tom let out a careless and rather loud yawn from the apprentice den,
stretching his front legs lazily. After finishing up from his noisy stretching, he padded
out from the apprentice den, eyes squinted from when the sun hit it's overwhelming
rays towards his face. He looked around, pupils narrowing before deciding to sit down,
curling his long and bushy tail around his large paws. He began to groom the soft and
long fur around his neck which stuck out much like a lion's own mane. After finishing
up, Stormpaw stayed seated, looking around in camp with squinted eyes, striped tail
flicking from beside him. It had only been minutes from his wake and already he was
way too bored for his liking. The large apprentice turned his attention back to the
apprentice's den, debating whether or not he should bother one of his fellow denmates
and demand them to do something to entertain him. He shook his head, flicking a tufted
ear before turning his attention to his large white paws.

Stormpaw tapped the earth underneath him lightly before doing so with another paw,
letting out a grunt. He laid down on his white furred belly with a loud groan. He stayed
there for a couple of seconds before tufted ears perked up instinctively. His eyes narrowed
in concentration, trying to pin point the location from the noisy insect. Finally, eyes set upon
a grasshopper which seemed to be lost and looking for it's way out of the home of rather large
looking cats to it. The nine moon old licked his whiskers, crouching down a bit more before
crashing a paw onto the grasshopper. It scrambled around under his white paw before finding
a way out, leaping away. Stormpaw wasn't having it though. He leaped right after the grasshopper
too but it only tried to scurry away even faster, hopping with it's might. The tom let out a low,
annoyed growl and hopped after it as well, completely concentrated on the grasshopper and
forgetting the world around him.❞

Landing on the other, he felt victorious but he wasn't expecting him to roll. Being careful to keep his claws sheathed, he wrapped his paws to hang on. Air rushing out of his lungs, he laid there in a daze as he was squashed. His skills definitely were rusty and he shook his head slightly. "Okay....you win this round." He admitted as he reached up and lightly tapped the others cheek with his paw.

She paused in her grooming, noticing a certain apprentice chasing a grasshopper. Green gaze following his movements, her whiskers twitched in amusement. It was a bit funny to see the fluffy tom chasing a small bug. She stood up and limped over to where he was. "Need any help Stormpaw? You seem to be having some trouble." She said with a soft laugh, sitting down and curling her tail over her paws. It was pretty comical how he was hopping like the little bug as well.
