Help!! Item trades

Hello! I've been giving away items for free along with my adoption center im running. Though I noticed a huge error!! Trades don't automatically cancel when items are given away the same way pets do. I normally get over 40 trades per day asking for my items, and a lot of players want the same ones. When I try accepting their trades, it says "Trade cannot be accepted because item cannot be found/is not available" something of those lines idk the exact words. Idk why it will not automatically cancel if I no longer have the item!? Its very frustrating because then I have to go in myself and cancel several trades and leave a message explaining the error. Is there a way to fix this?

Item trades do not auto-cancel because items do not have unique ID numbers. If you trade away pet 60384223 then the system cancels the trade, because that pet is gone. If you trade a token (for example), but then get another of that same token and accept the trade, it will go through because the system can't tell the difference between the items, there is just one ID number for each item in the game.

The lack of unique IDs makes the feature you want virtually impossible, so there’s little to no chance it’ll be added as a feature. However, to help with trades, I advise you select Mark All > Cancel Ticked Trades at the bottom of your pending trades. Using this feature will mass-cancel all selected trades, so you won’t have to keep canceling and re-typing your message.

That's what i've been doing. Just hate having to cancel on people! I only typed one message when mass cancelling so they all got to see my explanation. Thank you for explaining though!

That's a known bug i feel. Because Items hasn't ID and that doesn't cancels automatically.
