Silly question about multiple accounts?

I wanted to add that since, as you said, there aren’t really any real purposes that seem to exist for controlling two accounts “legitimately” (the only non-rulebreaking purpose is probably just... because you feel like it lol), there is therefore no harm done in declaring the blanket rule of absolutely no multi-accounting regardless of how “legitimate” the usage may be. ^^

The use of the second account is not legitimate; I believe the user who replied to you misspoke or simply meant that you weren't using the accounts to cheat. However, while there are obviously rules against cheating, as you have been shown there is a rule against simply owning/controlling more than one account as well so I hope that completely answers your question.

yeah, i am fully aware of how strange of a situation it would be for someone to actually do this hahaha ^^' but it's been on my mind for ageeees and i figured it can't hurt to ask c:

i know back in the day people used to make side accounts for adoption centers? they were easier to manage so as to not clog one's actual trade center. but it invited way too many loopholes, and i dont think it was "legal" in the first place haha.
but heres a potential reason why people might have been doing so!

Yeah people would do that before there was an adoption limit. But once the adoption limit was introduced those had to end as to not inflate pet counts artificially.
