Selling an account?

I've had this account for a while and had TONS of fun playing CS. But I havent played for a while now and I think its time to retire. I put a lot of time and money into my account - and would love to sell it if I can.

I remember seeing people selling their entire account via paypal back in the day. (Or at least I think...)

Is there still a way?

I don't think this is allowed, you definitely aren't allowed to sell anything for real money here but you can give away pets and items for currencies and things on other websites such as flight rising if you play it!!

Selling an account itself is against the rules, however selling the pets on it is perfectly fine.

Please don't trade or buy a Chicken Smoothie account from someone. Each user is only allowed to have one account, so if you buy a CS account when you already have one then you could get in trouble. You may instead trade for the contents of a Chicken Smoothie account and have the pets and items traded to you, but please contact staff if you are arranging such a trade.

I'm not sure if you meant selling as in offsite trading, but just to clarify this for anyone reading along who might've interpreted it differently: Pets cannot be sold for real money, same for accounts, items and chicken dollars. Anyone who is offering to buy or sell CS stuff for real currency is breaking the rules, and so is anyone taking them up on the offer.

As already quoted above by quartz, selling/trading your account off isn't allowed, no. You can use offsite trades to trade your stuff to someone else's existing account in return for virtual goods (see rules below), but the buyer may not take over your actual account. Aside from potential issues with double accounting, problems could also arise in connection with account history - stuff like potential past warnings, post/message/trade history, age restrictions/lack thereof (COPPA), or the account age itself can all be exploited by or against a new account holder.
