went to the vet today for a check up. He may look happy but that was cause we were in the room alone. He's 17.8 pound. so he lost some weight. He does have a prescription for anxiety medicine. Mostly cause of car rides. he shakes so badly. I wanted to get it cause its a 4 hour drive when he goes with my mom and i wanted to have him calm. My mom has got one as well for her dog from her vet.

^Aw, poor baby. Chloe doesn't like car rides either. She's better now but still not great. At least in the ride to someplace likely cause she figure we're going to the vet. On the ride home she's fine.

I have no one with a dog that I can get him socialised with, and no nearby dog parks or closed off beaches.

So far, my 3lb chihuahua has barked at 2 alaskan malamutes, 2 german shepherds and a staffie, in the span of three walks.

He isn't aggressive or anything, a nice lady let him sniff her elderly golden retriever/lab and he licked 'em.

I've actually seen some really well trained Chi's in the past!! How old is he? They can be great dogs as long as you don't treat them as accessories or over baby them! I don't treat my great danes any different than teacup dogs. It's all the same training!

So. Gizmo absolutely refuses to walk with out a lure of some kind. If I take a string, or a stick then he walks just as happy as can be. If I forget, or put the lure down for longer than a minute or so, he stops and sits/lays down and can not be compelled to walk on his own.

Any ideas?

Have you tried replacing the toy lure with something else he likes? Have you tried going back to the start and training loose leash walking without using those lures? You could also try shortening the lures you mentioned slowly over time by cutting pieces off until you can fade it out completely. You could also try training loose leash walking with the lure being the end goal by having it ahead of you so he has to walk on a loose leash to get to it, starting with it just laying in front of you and moving it slowly further away. Also I'd recommend working on giving into leash pressure and then train with the lure as a distraction to get him used to going away from it.

grandpa started feeding Lucy again. but this time boiled chicken. "because she was crying". I had an appoinet so she stayed longer with him. he said it was not fatty, he says because he has dogs all his life that he knows it is "ok" if their stool is like bloddy jelly, and her poop is only firm because we feed her stuff that was made out of dust. maybe if we don't take her away from him, and my stepdad dosen't mind buying canned origin. but he has the idea that the kibble also helps the teeth and she will loose interst in dry food.

no, bloody jelly poop is not ok.

I know this is the period of greatest growth - but it is still crazy just to see how much they change in such a short time. He looks like a dog now, not just a rolly puppy xD Those ears though. They're being super obstinate, I want them to stand all ready :P .

Puppo did spike a fever yesterday. So between he, and my Houdini cat that snuck into my back yard, jumped the fence and was bitten by my neighbors dog (she's fine, just a big scratch on her nose) I have spent a lot of time at the vets this week.

Ahh I know right! I wish I would have taken more pictures and videos of Trumpy when he was a still a puppo!

A few updates regarding the puppy, we're now getting two (which is a crazy idea but my stepmum is adamant she and my dad can have one, and me and my stepsisters can have the other)
and his name is 100% Fish, she doesn't want to call hers Chips, but it's a great idea. She wanted to call them Tikka and Masala, which is also fantastic because we already have (Ruby) Chicken.

We went to see Fish and Chips, and I should've taken pictures, but they're so cute. The parents are lovely, and they're their only litter. The other puppies were also adorable, but Fish is such a little bitey rascal and Chips kept giving us kisses.
They're different colours; Fish is brindle, Chips is tan, and the puppy they're keeping is black with little ginger eyebrows. There's one other brindle one and the other puppies were all tan. The dad is brindle and the mum is tan with white, no idea where this one black puppy came from xD

Me and my ssister are going out today to buy collars, more puppy stuff, and hopefully a large crate if Pets at Home has one. Fish and Chips should be coming home with us on Monday <3
      > Would any of you with crates say 2 medium crates for the both of them, or 1 large since they're very close siblings?
My aunt has a large for her boxer and boxador to share, and they're never bothered by it, and ours won't be as big as them, but they might want their own space.

Two crates absolutely and well spaced apart. Puppies need to be rotated and not allowed unlimited access to one another. They each need lots and lots of individual attention, excersize, and training away from one another. Look up Littermate Syndrome, theres a reason the majority of reputable breeders wont sell two puppies to the same home
