I'm watching Vento Aureo, and boy oh boy Giorno is one of the most Gary Stu/Mary Sue characters that I've come across in a long time.

In fact, in the most recent episode everyone sans Giorno was dumbed down so that Giorno could look smart because otherwise there's no way that Bruno wouldn't have found out that Narancia was being attacked by an enemy stand.

Luckily, the whole gang seems to be protagonists, with Giorno and Bruno both being the main protagonists, and Giorno being the main character overall.

I'm just going to pretend that Bruno is the main character so that I can enjoy the anime.

Yeah, as much as I love Giorno I wish there was some more introspection around his character Bruno has such good character exploration throughout (it helps that he's in all the character backstories fhdjs) but Giorno is sort of just introduced at the start and then hasn't been given much more depth since.

I really love Giorno though so I hope that's because his character got better further into the series? (I read it a while ago and can't remember a lot of it hfjdkf)

At this point Bruno and the Olive Garden he seems to live in are both more interesting than Giorno.

Also, Fugo made a SMART decision when he decided to not get on the boat, and it was the right decision too IMO.

Don't worry, plenty of people love him too because he gets his own light novel that is sort of like a redemption arc for not getting on the boat?
Anyway it's called Purple Haze Feedback and I would highly recommend reading it!! It's set a bit after part 5 so it's probably best to wait until that finishes before reading it.

I’ve heard of PHF, but AFAIK it’s not officially canon, and I’ve never really wanted to read it (I doubt I will TBH).

I also just like the fact that whatever happened to Fugo post Vento Aureo can be decided by readers/watchers because nothing is set in stone by the actual story.

the quintessential quintuplets(yes, I'm behind on this too ;-;)
date a live III(i'm scared to finish this one after hearing about the controversy surrounding ep 12)
that time I got reincarnated as a slime(I loved this one soo much, even with it's weaker second-half!)
sword art online alicization(not caught up on this either...I've never been a terribly huge fan of sao, but my boi eugeo and princess alice are enough to keep me watching~)

Anyone remember when Yami Yugi activated the Seal of Orichalcos, and then LOST the duel?
It was one of the first times in my life that I was really at the edge of my seat watching something.

All of the characters on the show were shook, and so was I.

Favorite Manga: Pokemon Adventures/Pocket Monsters Special/PokeSpe/whatever name you know it as, everyone seems to use something slightly different.

What's good? I mostly lurk on a lot of the forums I'm on, but I still read and I'm more than open to joining the discussion, especially if I'm talked to directly!

I also just finished catching up on that first season of Seven Deadly Sins, but unfortunately I still have all the other stuff that came after it to finish... ^^;

Vento Aureo is coming to a close, and a major death happens on the next episode.
It’s going to happen to one of my fave characters on the show too.

Additionally, while I don’t dislike Giorno as much as I used to, and I find him more interesting than I used to, I still fluctuate between disliking him and being neutral about him because as it stands he barely has a backstory, at times the rest of the gang is dumbed down to make him look good (the Clash and Talking Head arc), he’s surrounded by other characters that are just as interesting as himself if not more interesting, and he’s still a Gary Stu, or at least has some strong elements of one (not all Gary Stus/Mary Sues are bad though), all the while being the story’s main character (if he wasn’t the main character some of the aforementioned things would be forgivable/okay, in fact, some of the aforementioned things might be forgivable/okay if they didn't all come together to define a single character).

I also can’t believe it’s almost the end already!
The Diavolo version of Traitor’s Requiem is awesome!
In fact, I read somewhere that an actual Italian VA was hired to voice Diavolo in the new intro!

I wonder if the intro will change again to include GER? (O - O)

There hasn’t been any change to the intro to include GER, but there probably will be.

My mom said that the little black things on Bruno's suit look like watermelon seeds, and I can't unsee it. (U - U)

EDIT:
A new JoJo episode airs today, and I wonder if GER shows up (I think it still might be a bit too soon).
GE and GER are really cool stands, but design wise GE is better.
Consequently, Giorno himself has one of the best character designs and outfits of part 5 too.

I hate that after GE becomes GER it isn’t really gold anymore though.

ANOTHER EDIT (because this thread continues to be inactive as all get out):

Zipperman dies for good on the upcoming episode, and I hate to see it. (U - U)

Golden wind should have ended with Bruno and Giorno running Passione together, or with Bruno running Passione with Giorno as his right hand man.

Bruno worked just as hard as Giorno to beat Diavolo, and sacrificed more.
In fact, he was the one with a true passion for wanting to stop drugs from being sold (the whole drug thing seemed to be an afterthought to Giorno).

GER is so OP that I’m sure it could have been used a plot device to revive Bruno.

YET ANOTHER EDIT:
I watched the episode where Bruno became the golden wind, and it was both awesome and sad at the same time.

Additionally, Bruno is either the true protagonist (in every way but name and designated role) of Vento Aureo, or a 2nd protagonist (he was too important to the story and too interesting to truly play second fiddle to Giorno).
