Kaito was only a few steps away from his house, until he got the scary feeling that he was being followed. He looked behind him, and saw in the nearby distance the cat from the boating area. "Why are you following me!?" he exclaimed in confusion. This cat was really crazy.

“I am not crazy!” She cried. “I am just looking for someone to be with, and the bird is just a gift for you.” She mewed softly, jumping up on a nearby tree. “I’d go hunting for mice in the fields, see me later.”

Kaito felt some guilt when Phoenix ran past his shelter, heading towards the fields. He was being pretty rude to her, despite her just wanting to be kind to him. He didn't say anything though. He dropped the gull in his shelter to eat later, but he still felt bad about how he acted towards Phoenix. He decided to go to the fields to look for her and apologize.

After a short distance of walking, Kaito reached the fields. He looked around a bit, but he saw a familiar face in the distance. He approached her and said "Hey, I'm sorry for being kinda rude earlier. Thank you for the bird." He paused and then added, "would you like to hunt together?"

“Sure but, I don’t see any mice here.” Phoenix replied. She stood closer to see if they actually were there. “Probably not the best place in the field for hunting, or maybe all the mice ran off.” She continued.

"We're just in the wrong part of the field," he replied. "Follow me," he added. He walked to the other side of the field. "There are many more mice here," he said quietly. He quickly picked up a scent and walked away to find where it led to.

Phoenix followed. She saw a little brown mouse creeping by. “Look, it’s a brown one!” She cried, seeing a gray mouse run by too. She caught the gray one, leaving the brown one for Kaito.

While Kaito was busy sniffing around, he was soon approached by Phoenix. She had caught him a mouse. "You're really a fast hunter!" he complimented, picking up her catch. Though he wasn't that hungry, he nibbled away at it. "It tastes really good," he added.

Phoenix kept on looking at the fields, seeing some blackish gray mice running by. She decided to open upper claws and catch one, but she saw a brown one and decided to catch it.

Kaito yawned and blinked sleep from his eyes. It was around the time of day where he would usually sleep. Phoenix was still eagerly hunting, but he didn't quite have the energy to. "Thanks for hunting a bit with me, but I'm really tired so I think I'm going to go back to my shelter and sleep," said Kaito to Phoenix. He began walking back towards the Village.
