Oceankit was startled out of his sleep when he heard a high pitched scream that echoed around the camp "what's going on?" He wondered. Getting up and delicately stepping over the side of the nest he trotted out of them den unfurling his long silver tail as he reached a group of cats. He noticed some of them crying and tried to jump to see over them but he still couldn't see anything so instead he turned to the nearest cat "Skyheart what's going on? Please don't cry, why are you crying?" he meowed his mind burning with more questions.

At the sound of their father's wail, she tensed up and her fur bristled before quickly smoothing it down as she looked down at the kit. "I...I don't know, stay here with Pebbleshine," she said after giving her a quick reassuring lick before walking towards where all the much bigger cats were.

After pushing her way through, the apprentice looked down at what everyone was looking at and she let out a broken sounding cry as she rushed towards her sister, trying to find any sign of life, although it was in vain as the slash was enough information to tell her that she had joined StarClan. "S-Sageheart...please..."

"How terrible.." Terrorspirit commented at the leader's explanation. She then noticed Stormheart.
"To answer your question, I really don't know.." she answered. She swished her tail, then, hearing Skyheart, she turned to her, and then looked over at Sageheart's wound. She very quickly regretted it, as she didn't like the sight of injuries, since she saw them in her nightmares so often.
As more cats flooded into the scene, Terrorspirit was practically shrinking. Being crowded, especially at a time like this, wasn't the best thing for her, since she was only used to being crowded at gatherings and clan meetings.

Skyheart fell onto the ground, sobbing. "Nothing Oceankit!" She managed to wail out, and push the kit away with her tail. She felt the flower from her tuft slowly fall onto Sageheart, and she sobbed louder. "Who would do such a thing?!"

Ravenwillow awoke with a start, as the wails of sadness and fear
of her leader and clanmates echoed through the camp. Her first
thought was, What happened? Her second was, Where is Oceankit?
She quickly shook away the tiredness from her fur and ran to join
her clan outside. "Oceankit?" She ran up to her kit and wrapped her
tail around him protectively. "I don't know what happened, but I
don't want anything to happen to you." Her eyes rose, and met the
crumpled body of Sageheart. "Wh-who did this to her?"
Ravenwillow barely managed to choke out the words as she stood
there in shock. "Oceankit, you need to come back to the nursery...
something bad has happened, it isn't safe out here right now."

Oceankit shuffled his paws on the ground quietly as Skyheart pushed him away "did I do something wrong?" He thought sadly. He felt a familiar tail wrap around him and he pressed his cheek into his mother's fur trying to stop the shiver that ran down his spine as other cats cried out and broke down although he still didn't know why "okay." he meowed looking up at his his blue eyes were bleak he wanted to see the problem and to defeat it and protect his family from this pain that seemed to sweet through the clan. He quietly wrapped his tail around his mother's leg to show he was ready to go.

Russetstar stood silently grieving for a few moments. He shouldered a few cats away, taking his daughter's scruff in his mouth. The tom gingerly dragged her into camp and out of the dirtplace. His brown and cream pelt stood on end as he let go of her neck-fur. Russetstar raised his head weakly "Where is Pebbleshine?" He croaked, his green gaze traveling to the nursery in search of his mate.

Ebonyshade's heart thumped as she followed Onyxstorm out of the den. She'd heard her sister's yell for her, and was right behind her as they stepped out of the den and walked into the clearing. The scene in front of her was shocking, and she felt her blood run cold. How did she sleep through this? She walked towards the scene in shocked silence, then looking down at the horrible sight. She leaned into Stormheart's fur, trying a comforting gesture.
