Russetstar was lounging on the highrock, a yawn escaping his maw. He stretched, rising to his paws as he gazed around at his clan. After a moment of observing the activity, the tom went to make dirt, only to be met by the rank scent of death. His expression contorted to one of horror at the sight of his daughter, his precious daughter, dead at his paws. Russetstar let out a deafening roar of anguish, digging his claws into the ground.

Stormheart had gotten decent sleep. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either. It seemed like anxiety kept her up most of the time, worrying and stressing over the smallest of things. The silver she-cat sat up and stretched out her aching limbs. Yawning, Stormheart made her way out of the warrior's den in search for a particular cat that she took great liking to. The small warrior looked around the camp quietly, her tail gently grazing the ground beneath her.. She seemed t be calm, that is, until a cry of distress filled her long ears. Stormheart snapped her head in the direction of the sound. "Was that...?" Stormheart trailed off, quickly moving from her place to see what had happened.

Hearing her leader's cry, Terrorspirit's fur frizzed up. Her ears perked, then turned in the direction of the sound.
She quickly looked around. No one else seemed to be going to see what was wrong. Terrorspirit wasn't usually one to check out danger, but Russetstar really sounded distressed.
She dashed towards where the call came from. Seeing it was the dirtplace, she was suddenly embarrassed about worrying.
Well, until she caught sight of Sageheart's body. Her ears twisted back, and she lowered herself slightly. She ran over to Russetstar.
"Russetstar! What happened?" Terrorspirit asked frantically, her tail swishing with anxiety.

Today was an alright morning, Frostbelly decided as he clambered out of his nest, shaking the dust out of his fur. Not a good morning, but an alright morning. Half-decent at best. This was mostly due to the fact that he was awoken by a terrible screech coming from outside. What is it this time? he grumbled internally, heaving himself out of the den. One of the apprentices probably got a thorn in their paw. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

Skyheart woke up and blinked, her eyes adjusting to the brightness of the sun that glowed into the warriors den. She blinked and got up, then looked around. She suddenly heard the scream and sat up, then dashed out. "What happened?!" She asked quickly.

Russetstar whipped around to face the warrior, his pelt prickling. "Oh... Terrorspirit, it's just you." A feeling of unease made him shiver from ear to tail tip. Refusing to show weakness, the tom held back a sob as he cast a look at his daughter. "She... I don't know. I come out here to make dirt, then I see her... lying here."

Stormheart stopped in her tracks after hearing Skyheart call out. The she-cat looked over at the other, "I think it was Russetstar. But I'm not sure what happened." Stormheart meowed, turning and quickly padding to where the scream had come from. "Terrorspirit, what happened...?" Stormheart suddenly stopped after noticing a lifeless body laying in front of them. Her ears flattened against her head, and she took a few steps back. A distraught look crossed her expression. "Oh... Oh no.." The silver tabby whimpered quietly.

Skyheart felt her heart drop as she noticed Sageheart's body on the ground, dead. "Oh no....Sageheart!" She began to cry, upset by the death. "What happened to you...." Skyheart finally noticed the large wound and her eyes widened. "Guys, look at the wound..."

Onyxstorm eyes shot opened, hearing Russetstar's cry. "Evonyshade, somethings wrong," she called to her sister, running out of the den, and not gromming her fur which was tangled with bedding at the moment. "What's going on?" She asked, having miss the explanation.
