Escape from the Cages (Rodent RP, needs members)

Flame walked out into the island, looking for other rodents. She saw nothing but some small birds and green vines.

Echo was sitting in the lowest branch of a tall tree, watching the termites crawl around on the tree bark. She chewed on an acorn mindlessly as her tail drifted down, nearly touching the ground. She had been one of the earlier rodents freed.

Flame was looking at the birds fly by, jumping up on a tree and seeing another rodent similar to her in the distance. She was a flying squirrel so she could glide, so she jumped off the tree and glided slowly to the little critter. “Hello!” She cried.

Echo screamed and dropped her acorn, scrambling up the tree. After a few moments, Echo peered down from a higher branch. It looked like she was a complete shadow without a face, since her large black eyes blended in with her fur. She didn't say anything.

“Umm, hello.” Flame squeaked again. “What is your name?” She asked, swishing her fluffy tail. The slightly orange flying squirrel looked at the black chimpunk curiously.

"...Echo." Echo looked horribly out of place on this bright island, but she didn't seem to mind. Instead, she picked up a bright blue beetle and ate it. After a long pause, she spoke again. Her voice was soft and quiet. "Um. That wasn't yours, was it?"

“Not sure what you said.” Flame squeaked as she glided up for a while. “Anyways, I’m Flame.” She continued. “Nice to meet you!”

"Yeah, nice to meet you, too... Do you know when nightfall is here?" Echo asked, watching Flame glide around. She felt insignificant compared to the flying squirrel.
