Clementine, noticing the somewhat sad look in the dog's eyes, scratched all along Rosie's back for a few second longer, before she got serious. The brown dog had clearly not found the others yet. Otherwise, they'd be here. And on the more confusing side of things...where was 'here' anyway? Frowning for seemingly the hundredth time, Clem glanced at Rosie and made a wide gesture with her hands, "Are we anywhere near the school Rosie?"
She asked quietly. She knew that the strong doggo couldn't reply, but sometimes, talking to herself helped out a bit. Filling the endless void of silence kept her from going insane. Listing off the things that she saw and describing them also helped. So while she did talk just to hear herself talk, it wasn't because she was vain.
Furrowing her brow, Clementine looked at the distant city. "Not sure if I can even get there..." she muttered in a low voice.

Unknown to Connie, Isla was just about as terrified as she was.
Hidden behind a cluster of trash bins, Isla crouched with her claws splayed against the damp concrete, her ear pinned against her head in what was clearly fear. She had darted past the human in an attempt to get into the alley, and get in she did...with the human right behind her. She had thought about perhaps performing a Wa'akkir to scare the human off, but at that point, she was out of breath and about to come out of her slimmer. Therefore, She'd hidden behind the shiny bins.
Unfortunately, the human had stopped for a rest right at the end of the alley and Isla was sure that she would be seen or heard if she tried to move. And let's be honest...that giant, metal claw would not feel good against her skin. Panting slightly to regain enough breath to slimmer and get away, Isla curled her fluffy tail around her body as a form of reassurance. Sadly, it would take at least a few minutes to regain her breath, so unless the human left, she was stuck here...visible and frightened. Sighing through her nose, the black-furred fox let her thoughts wander to her homeland.
She briefly wondered why she was here to begin with, but quickly realized that there was no time to dwell on that. Rather unexpectedly, the human girl pulled her furless legs up to her face and wrapped her long arms around them. Isla watched in terrified fascination as the human made a somewhat upset expression. She didn't know that humans had feeling as complex as that. She and all the other foxes just assumed they were savage killing machines that had no care as to why, when, or where. Feeling curious, she peeked around the shiny bins to get a better look.
The claw still looked fierce, but somehow, the way the human was holding it wasn't quite as scary anymore. Maybe, just maybe, this human appeared here without their consent as well. snorting, Isla dismissed that thought. The female human likely got scared a lot...if this creepy city was anything to go by.
