Boyko snuggled his muzzle in her neck fluff trying to comfort her, "Its okay, honey!" he said joyfully. He knew he would be able to have pups sometime soon. He moved her away before Scythe got angry. His tail swayed as they walked. He soon found a nice spot where they would rest.

Aurelie tried to smile, Boyko could always brighten her day, but her dreams of having a litter of pups were dashed. They'd have to wait until the next year...it would be unbearable. She curled up into a ball against Boyko and lay down, silent tears streaming down her cheeks.

Boyko felt her quiver as the tears were taking over her. He put her safely into the thick fur of his belly. But even his dreams were broken. He started to tear up but he couldn't let her notice them. So he slowly went over to lick her small tears up.
