"butler, actually. i- um, i dress like this because it feels appropriate for a female butler. i apologize if it comes off as childish and halloween-esque, but it's all i can really afford with my-" leslie cut herself off. 'oh, spare me the details, imbecile! bringing up your lack of funds was an absolutely great decision, not going to spark just another touchy subject that this girl can prod at. leslie, you never talk, shut up while you still can despite having said too much already!' leslie thought, wishing that she could just stuff those words back in her mouth like teachers stuff useless and random facts into growing youth's minds. was there any hope of saving that started sentence? probably not. either way, this girl could probably burn through your lies before they even exit your conscious, so escaping your mistakes in a conversation with the woman was like planting a land mine in front of yourself and then accidentally stepping on it. suicide, that's what one must call it.
'sad... dolly? like a doll? this is the way i should dress. i mean, i could wear a suit, but that's expensive and i already half-stated that i can't do with that kind of money needed and even if someone paid for it for me, i wouldn't accept. i don't look like a doll, do i? ...do i?' leslie thought, her head pulsing inside and her face undoubtedly but unintentionally turning a sweet scarlet color, as if her whole face was filled with the preferred food of the vampire. "oh, okay. i didn't quite think so... my mistake, possibly." leslie tried to cope, her head aching with every heartbeat. then, the girl started walking towards leslie, a slightly sinister look resting on her face. leslie already knew that whatever was about to happen wasn't going to be good.
"hungry? no, i'm afraid that there's nothing to-" leslie sighed, cutting herself off at the sight of the girl's fangs. blood. it was clear that the girl had tried to manipulate leslie's words to a point where it would work as consent to feed off of her. touché, possibly. leslie, not meaning to, had already lifted her leg up to a point where she could start to fall forward and her foot would land on the girl's face. reflex. she then stopped herself. it was against the rules to hurt someone, and though this might be counted as a form of self defense, nothing had really started yet and the girl hadn't tried to kill leslie yet. though leslie doubted it, the woman might have just been joking, and so leslie needed to be sure.
suddenly, she put her leg down and her attention was quickly drawn to the voice of a man, shortly followed by a woman's voice. both were to scold the woman. she was called an angel, a monster, and food that she should know better than this. leslie felt as if she were useless, not even being able to stand up for herself. "oh, thank you two, but... oh, who am i kidding? she wanted to feed off of me. stella, i'm sorry, but i didn't want my words toyed with. take what i say as what i say, do not interpret it for your personal gain." leslie said, surprised that she spoke up. how many times had she messed up during this interaction? now, to wait for whatever punishment stella saw fit.
