Jaxie pulled herself out of bed and quickly changed into the academy’s uniform. She climbed down the twisting staircases and made her way into the dining hall. When she entered she picked up her plate and piled some food on her plate. She found her way to her table and sat down alone. She didn’t have any friends so she ate like this every single day.

Caelan was walking to the dining hall for breakfast. He saw a girl around his age eating alone and decided to sit with her after grabbing his food. "I assume from your black and white robes, you're a Death student?" Black and white were the house colors of the Death school, and students wore robes with their house colors. His robes were yellow and royal blue, since those were the house colors for Myth.

Jaxie was startled by someone talking and almost knocked over her water. She quickly collected herself and smiled apologetically. “Yeah that’s me! Your myth huh? They’ve always seemed pretty cool...” She said before taking a bite of food.

Caelan took a bite out of his waffle and said, "Yeah, my name's Caelan. My family has a long history of being Myth students." he drank some of his coffee and shuddered from it, "I like my coffee strong, but I'll never understand how the school makes coffee this strong."

Jaxie gave him a small nod saying “nice to meeting you I’m Jaxie....” she smiled for the first time and months before saying “I feel that... I find it pretty good but I prefer to have water...” She took a sip of her own water before finishing off her pancakes.

Caelan smiled, "Nice to meet you too Jaxie. You know, I've heard there's been a lot of chaos going on around the school's personal city. Some people are spreading rumors that it's the work of the former Death Professor. I don't tend to listen to gossip like that, but something strange is definitely going on around here."

“Well us death people always have a bad rep.... soon they’ll probably say I had something to do with it because they all dislike me for some reason...” Said Jaxie with a small sigh. “Honestly I don’t think that man would hurt a fly... he acts so dark but he was my only friend around here” she said somberly. She missed the man but she had to push feelings aside.
