Nice sight to wake up to.

I only yesterday moved their mom into the breeder box, since she had been looking super round for week or so already and over night she finally gave birth. 24 babies so far and she's still looking quite round so we shall see if she has any more during the day. If not then I'll remove her, though she's being very good mom so far and not eating her babies.
Edit: Stopped by at fishstore today and picked up pair of Apistos. Also borneo suckers are totally going to be moving into my smaller tank at some point, they are so stinking cute and have adorable way of moving from surface to surface. <3
Can we pretend that the airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now...

Popping in with a quick plant question.
I've ordered a bunch of plants online, and the first lot unexpectedly turned up today (less than twelve hours after buying them- I've had next day deliveries take longer than that). The problem is, they're java ferns, and I don't have the wood to attach them to yet. So, will they be okay if I plop them in the tank until I can get some wood (on Monday/Tuesday)? They've got lead rings round the bottom, so will stay bunched/won't go floating. Or would they be best kept in the bag they've come in, and just keeping them wet?

Chuck them in the tank they'll be fine. We have several baby java ferns growing just floating about not attached to anything. They're very hard to kill.

I have 30 fry in a breeder net and around 14 free in the tank which were born day or two after the majority, and it's been a week and I don't think any of the free babies have been eaten. ^^; Apistos are very bad at endler population control it seems.

But jokes asside I'm really glad my endlers are finally starting to breed like they should as it's been while since I had good bunch of fry. Most of the fry that has made it to adulthood has been male so far which sucks... This lot is mostly out of one female I think (at least first 24 of them are), but seeing some were born bit later there might have been one other female giving birth as well.
Also I'm really loving the apistos I got.

The male is absolutely stunning when the morning sun hits the tank and he's showing of the his to-be-girlfriend. And they play super nice with the endlers seeing the endlers stay on the mid-top waters while the apistos mostly hang around the bottom.

How many fish tanks do you have: 3 (10 gallion, 5 gallon, 2.5 gallon)
Types of fish that you have: 2 bettas, 6 guppies, 3 platys
Your fish's names: Leonardo, Tabby, Noel, Holly, Joy, Bell, Bravo, Leroy, Minnie, Firefly, Ladybug
How long have you had fish: Around 6 1/2 years
I’d add a picture of the guppies but 3 attachments is maximum per post

so i have a 6.5 gallon tank with a single zebrafish in there.
all his other tankmates have since passed from age. what
kind of fish can i put with him seeing as they do better
with tankmates?
we also have a 3 gallon tank, but that's too small for any
type of fish, right? or is there anything we can put in there?

Zebra fish can go with many different types of fish, but tankmates are best if they are peaceful. I’ve had them with neon tetras, lemon tetras and many others. Zebra fish will also do great with almost any other type of danio. Snails would be great.
For the 3 gallon, a betta fish could do good great with proper care. I have a male betta in a 2.5 gallon and he’s thrived. A snail could also go in but it depends on the bettas personality.
