my eyes widened, as i retrieved the archen
into the pokéball. "what?! why would a trainer do such
a thing!" i was fuming by now. "they throw away their
companions, all for the fact that they're too 'weak'?
how could they even call themselves trainers!"
after i stopped talking, i inhaled, and thanked the nurse.
"thank you, nurse mary.." i smiled at her, and proceeded to
walk out. once i was out of the pokémon center, i released it from
the pokéball. "hello, little buddy." i smiled, and pet its head.
chester looked like he was getting a lil too jealous, so i turned to him
and said, "no matter what, chester, you'll always be my number one
pokémon!" i laughed as he jumped on my face, trying to hug me.
"hmm.." i put my hand on my chin and looked at the archen..
"ill call you..archer!" i smiled, "archer, i hope you and all of my
pokémon have fun! im going to put you back in the pokéball now,
okay?" i smiled whilst saying, "archer, return!". by the time i was
out of the pokémon center, i was headed towards route 3, in hopes
of meeting more pokémon, and possibly filling up the pokédex.

Vanessa smiled in excitement, the Houndour letting out an excited yelp as it trotted next to her feet. The houndour playing with her other pokemon while the Moltres flew next to her. Silvally seemed to get along with the Moltres, Skarmory was excited to greet another flying pokemon as it flew with it. Charmander hopped around, watching the wonderful flames as they continued to walk, coming into a clearing, "alrighty! Let's train!" Vanessa said in excitement, her pokemon jumping around as they found a partner to train with, Charmander really wanted to be Houndour's partner but it wasn't a part of the team. Vanessa looked at her pokemon, they seemed very interested in travelling with the two, so she turned, pulling two pokeballs out of her bag. She didn't toss them-as she didn't like to be rude and catch them by surprise, so she kindly held them out and asked them softly, "Would you two want to join my team? My pokemon really take interest and I'd love it if you did" she smiled, holding a pokeball in front of each of the two.

The guy then commands the first moves of his pokemon. "Alright! Mightyena, use bite on the Monferno!, Crawdaunt use aqua jet at the zorua and Alakazam, use confusion on the fomantis!" The pokemon executed the moves, but the crawdaunt's aqua jet missed! the other moves caused quite a bit of damage.

They wince at the attacks to their team, but raise their head high after. They can't show weakness here, they have to win.
"Nathan, use Mach Punch on the Mightyena! Sakura, Razor Leaf on Crawdaunt, and Zico use Pursuit on the Alakazam!" If they're remembering type advantages properly, they're pretty sure they did the right thing here with the moves they chose.
