Lark ignored all the shouts and almost fell down the steps, as he was going too fast to be certain his steps were exact and stable. Everything was too much and with the adrenaline, all Lark wanted was to run and hide in a place that was safe and comforting. A place where he could also take a second to breathe and actually process what happened. So that is here he headed but little did he know, Lark was still being pursued by his hungry uncle. Larkin ignored anyone he passed in the hallways as he continued to run to a particular place. This spot hadn’t been used for this purpose since he was a young child, as he had outgrown the habit. This place was actually his sister’s room because when he was younger, being around Aerona had comforted him despite her being younger than him.

Adelia had left the ballroom and strange guest behind a while ago and was now curled up in the library. Her favorite spot was on the sofa that was near the fireplace but not too close, obviously. It was comfortable and warm although sometimes she would get too hot if she sat there for too long. A book was in her hands and she was immersed in the story it was telling through the words on the pages. It was about four kingdoms that took place a long time ago with the history and stories about them. It was rather an interesting read so far, although she was still unsure if this was suppose to be true or if it was completely fiction.

Deirdre felt a little bit more confident about her choice when Marc agreed with her method. When he spoke about going to great lengths to make her smile, Deirdre was rather confused about what he had meant. “Oh, Love. You always make me smile.” She responded, trying to reassure him if he had any doubt about it. After Marc put the clock down and opened the doors, she was absolutely speechless at what was revealed. It was beautiful and so different than anything she saw beyond the manor windows. She stood there in awe and openly gawked at the impossible scenery in front of her. Her beloved’s voice brought Deirdre back and all she could do was nod at him, still at lost with words. “Always.” Deirdre raised her hand up and her fingers reached out to Marc-Anthony’s hand before clasping them around gently. Deirdre’s heart melted at what he said and she smiled, her eyes watering a bit. “I love you.” She softly said, squeezing his hand and looking up at him with much emotion.

As Evan answered her questions, Katheryne felt the panicked feeling in her chest lessen and she was able to breathe a little better again. She felt a little relieved by the fact it would not be very likely for anyone to stumble upon the place and the cabin isn’t known by anyone else, at least to Evan’s knowledge. Although the werewolf didn’t have a real reason, she took the spirit’s word for it and decided to trust him. Katie was surprised when Evan asked if she was alright because she looked a little nervous. “Yeah, I’m fine.” She replied and her eyes drifting away to avoid eye contact with Evan. Her eyes then closed for a few moments, thinking that if she was going to live with this person then she should learn to not be so closed off and distant. It made her question why she even agreed to stay to begin with, as she wasn’t sure if she was ready to even open up about anything to another person. Especially grow attached to someone else, not after everyone she had already lost. Her golden eyes reappeared as Katie opened her eyes, realizing that maybe she didn’t have to but this wasn’t about anything secret or personal. “I was just...” Katie begin, faltering a little but continued her sentence. “Scared of the prospect of someone uninvited showing up.” She admitted and her eyes moved back to look directly into Evan’s. She didn’t mention the fact that it was a human encounter that she was particularly terrified of, as she felt like it would be needless to say.
