Okay that's it, I can't do lighting. I'll get it eventually.

That is the best deer I have ever drawn.

This is an oooold scene from my writing, like ~2014 era writing, which I could probably add back in at some point.
I've tried drawing it before, but I decided to give it another shot now that I can actually make something decent.
I mean the last time I tried

“They won’t tell you anything. They’re terrified they’ll disappear, too,” a soft voice behind them said.
Nyx leaned to the side to see around Ren. The speaker was sitting alone at the next table, her face concealed in the shadows of a blue cloak. Ren was up like lightning, his chair clattering back as he spun around and drew his bow.
“How do you know about that, you suspicious eavesdropper?” he hissed.
The stranger scooted back in alarm.
“Woah, calm down! I’m on your side!”

I'm sure it didn't take that long but I did spend a heck of a lot of time on Ren's arrow hand.
had to use a poser for the first time with that hand and it's still not perfect
